How far are you from a test centre?
75
GreyishDays · 14/11/2020 12:35
I feel like we’re really lucky and are about a 15 minute drive from a test place.
How far are you?
I’m just heading off there now (for the second time today after taking my DD this morning and then having realised I can’t taste my lunch).
satnighttakeaway · 14/11/2020 12:37
Less than 10 minutes drive, it's in a residentail area so 1000s of people are within a 5 minute walk.
Angel2702 · 14/11/2020 12:37
I have two within walking distance.
Reedwarbler · 14/11/2020 12:47
I have absolutely no idea. Live rurally so probably miles. Have never needed a test anyway.
cathyandclare · 14/11/2020 12:49
8 miles on quiet roads, so pretty good.
WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 14/11/2020 12:50
I have no idea.
There was a temp one about 8 miles away. I 'think' the nearest permanent one is about 15 miles away, but in an area we don't normally go to & always turns into a very long drive as the traffic is usually hideous.
Miseryl · 14/11/2020 12:50
About a five minute drive, possibly longer at rush hour.
Rudolphian · 14/11/2020 12:50
2-3 minutes drive
PudseyPatch · 14/11/2020 12:51
3 minute drive
BurningEars · 14/11/2020 12:51
About a twenty minute drive.
Juliecloud · 14/11/2020 12:52
8 miles is the nearest permanent one. There’s sometimes a pop-up one less than a mile away.
MildlyMiserable · 14/11/2020 12:54
It took 15 minutes today to drive there.
OublietteBravo · 14/11/2020 12:55
There is a walk in one in a car park near the hospital. It would take me maybe 20 minutes to walk there.
itsgettingcoldoutside · 14/11/2020 12:55
Half an hour drive
There is a walk in one locally but I'd rather stay in the car
fastandthecurious · 14/11/2020 12:56
One is within a couple of minutes walking distance, another is a 10 minute drive.
GreyishDays · 14/11/2020 13:39
Oh wow, loads of you are really near one. Our second nearest is about 20 miles away!
ThatDamnScientist · 14/11/2020 13:46
1 in walking distance (10/15 minute walk tops) - it started as a temporary and is now staying for 6 months at least the council have said, and a temp one about 10 minute drive away (appears two days a week every other week).
VashtaNerada · 14/11/2020 13:53
Ten minute walk plus plenty of other local options. I’m in London - wouldn’t surprise me at all if there’s huge regional variety.
HarrietOh · 14/11/2020 13:53
10/15min drive to 2 walk in ones, 1 of which I went to last week, otherwise 30min drive to a one if I wanted to stay in the car for the test. I’m in NE England!
Baaaahhhhh · 14/11/2020 13:59
5 min drive here too. Lucky. The drive through is next to our hospital and university, and the university has a walk in too in it's grounds.
viccat · 14/11/2020 14:16
A new walk-in one just opened here a couple of weeks back, it's now about 15 minutes walk from me. (I don't have a car.)
If I was properly ill though I can't imagine wanting to do that walk especially in awful weather!
DobbyTheHouseElk · 14/11/2020 14:18
An hour away I think. But it’s not a journey I’d want to do if I was ill.
Fiddlersgreen · 14/11/2020 14:19
Don’t you have to book?
Our nearest is about 15/20 mins drive.
Have used it twice in September (for myself and once for DS) but we had to book a day or two in advance
Gottheteeshirtandlostit · 14/11/2020 14:21
35 minute walk to nearest walk-in.
CuntAmongstThePigeons · 14/11/2020 14:21
5 min walk
AlwaysLatte · 14/11/2020 14:25
My husband took our son recently and it was about an hour and 15 mins drive, which wasn't too bad.
