Waiting times for test results

We are currently waiting for test results and I'm just wondering what peoples experiences have been lately time wise?

I was tested in the summer and got my results in about 12 hours (London).

How long did you wait and roughly where are you based?

They prioritise positive results. Negative results take longer to come through.

I don't know whether it's just us and our experiences but our 2 positive test results came through significantly quicker than the 2 negative results we've had.

Our 3 negatives were 1 hour faster than DP's positive the day before.

Myself and dp got tested at 9am thursday. Had results through at 9am tuesday. Mine was positive and dps was negative so no lag for the negative test vs the positive.

In the north east

I don't think that's true - how on earth do they know if it's positive before they perform the analysis? Confused

Test 11am Saturday, result (negative) 8:15pm Sunday, so 33 hours. London.
