So many threads on here, and so many people on my SM and in my whatsapp groups, all asking "we can meet one person outside the house, so it i go to meet my friend, can we take our kids?"

Are your kids people? Question answered!

I know it sucks, I'm gutted, and will shortly be spending aaaalllllll my time with my 1yr old and would love to be able to take her out with me to see friends, but surely a little common sense is in order?

Good news for parents of young kids! I don't think we should bash the OP though, this sounds like a genuine government U-turn - the official guidance before was pretty clear that in England all children counted towards the limit on numbers. Thank goodness they saw sense on that.

Regardless of the government u-turn, the OP clearly things it’s a bad idea and that mothers who feel the need to meet others with their pre school aged children in tow are selfish and irresponsible.

In Scotland children under 12 don't count towards the 6 max from 2 households rule outside and in England they have clarified that a parent with a child under school age (ie someone wilth a toddler/baby) or high dependancy (disability) can meet another person who also has a child under school age.

Not common sense at all when many parts of Great Britain don’t count children under 12 in the numbers .

I hope you feel suitably silly for this post now OP, given the Government have clarified that for the purposes of these restrictions small children are NOT counted in the number of people.

Has OP returned I wonder?!!
