My single neighbour has a woman round

Neighbour is an eternally single batchelor - he appears to have pulled a woman and is getting her drunk in his living room (naaaice). He does this from time to time. I can hear them through the walls.

Without going into details he’s a selfish arse - should I report him? If I do l, he’ll surely know it’s me. Will anyone actually care?

OP posts:
balla20 · 26/10/2020 09:20

@MessAllOver 😆

balla20 · 26/10/2020 09:21

If the neighbour gets infected it makes it more likely the OP will be infected

Why is the OP going to catch covid off her neighbour?

HelgaDownUnder · 26/10/2020 09:24

This sounds like a job for Mrs Lovejoy and Maude Flanders. Who else would you call to report this perfidy?

Evehaspulled · 26/10/2020 09:47

Nobody seems to have asked why you don’t like him?

Also, to the people criticising others for calling the OP names. Whilst it’s not ideal, I guess that’s what happens when you call someone an arse in your opening post.

Harmarsuperstar · 26/10/2020 09:53

I'm amazed at how much detail you know about your neighbours' support bubbles and who's in them 🏆

Ignoringequally · 26/10/2020 10:00

@notevenat20

I don’t care if you aren’t allowed to mix households! This isn’t nazi Germany. Don’t snitch on your fucking neighbour and mind your own business!

Although I hate to ruin the fun, the risks people take with covid are not their own. If the neighbour gets infected it makes it more likely the OP will be infected or even worse some granny innocently doing her shopping.

Why is it always bloody ‘granny’? What about grandad? What about elderly people with no grandchildren? What about all those grandparents (or not) in care homes who were put at extreme risk by the government who ordered the release of untested patients from hospitals? The ‘don’t kill your granny’ shit that has come out of all this is so fucking irritating. If anyone is responsible for killing ‘grannies’, it’s the government.
RockingMyFiftiesNot · 26/10/2020 10:01

all have a go at it. It's our civic duty. So far I've reported my sister for having her boiler fixed (I don't care what anyone says, hot water is NOT a necessity and she knows we're not allowed anyone in the house) and MIL for going dog-walking with her neighbour (they had FIVE dogs between them, making a group of seven which is NOT ALLOWED

I am in a tier 3 area and can see no guidance which says you can't have people into you home to work. Please can you post a link to where it says this as we need a new boiler.

The rule of 6 is for humans not dogs FFS.

MadameBlobby · 26/10/2020 10:03

I can’t decide whether this is more or less mad than the thread a few weeks ago where the OP wanted to know if there was anything she could do about her neighbours coughing

PhilCornwall1 · 26/10/2020 10:09

Oh because it's people jumping on the bandwagon because it was said on TV. Didn't posh boy Hancock say it?

WouldBeGood · 26/10/2020 10:10

This thread just gets better 😂

Topseyt · 26/10/2020 10:15

@Fawnfour

What a load of nasty posters you all are Bubbleflump was asking a genuine question
No, we're just fed up with arbitrary rules that have turned neighbour against neighbour in some places and have made curtain twitching apparently a national pastime.

We are also fed up of people policing these threads and telling us how we should unquestioningly be obeying these arbitrary rules which have taken away so many of our freedoms.

I'm not a big socialiser, but I WILL DECIDE who comes to my house and when. Nobody else!

I don't expect to have any say in what my neighbours do in their own homes or who visits them and I don't expect them to pay me any more than passing attention either.

MessAllOver · 26/10/2020 10:15

Oh, is it? Gosh, I hadn't understood that Confused. Better go remove my "6 max. Pls observe social distancing" sign from the bird-feeder. The sparrows and robins weren't really paying any attention anyway. Thank you, you've saved me an embarrassing call to the police - I was going to report the little buggers once I'd dealt with my neighbours.

I don't think I saw that one. Can you link?
BlueJag · 26/10/2020 10:18

So it isn't about Covid is about getting back to him. Nice 😬😬😬😬

Sorry if your post wasn't serious but there have been so many ridiculously stupid similar posts on here this year it's hard to differentiate.
interest12 · 26/10/2020 10:19

You sound horrid and your updates only make.it worse

balla20 · 26/10/2020 10:20

@RockingMyFiftiesNot I suspect @MessAllOver is taking the piss.

Ummm, you might want to revisit that.

@MessAllOver seemed to be using irony and sarcasm to me.

It wasn't serious, although I know some on here take their curtain twitching duties extremely seriously.

balla20 · 26/10/2020 10:23

But agree it's often hard to tell. Wasn't there a poster who was complaining about the neighbours using their garden during the summer & she had to keep coming in when they appeared next door. Someone told me yesterday it was selfish & causing the virus to spread to go to a shop just to buy a newspaper.

OwlOne · 26/10/2020 10:24

I cannot believe people are this clued up on the rules. I'm losing track. I'm handwashing, wearing a mask, but to be honest I'd be really vague on what's allowed and what breaks the rule so I'd never report anybody. I'm single. Covid has been the death of me and my bf. (xbf?) We still talk but we aren't close any more. I think we're both just holding off on ending it.

balla20 · 26/10/2020 10:24

My absolute favourite though was the bread & milk are not essential 🤣🤣

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Be careful there though. Clearly some people might be at risk of a sense of humour bypass and actually take this seriously. 😉🙄

Cheeseandwin5 · 26/10/2020 10:28

@notevenat20

Could everyone please stop attacking the OP. Calling the OP a bitch and arsehole when they asked for advice is completely unreasonable.

I want you to imagine you were a single female living in a house where you are under constant surveillance from a male neighbour that seems to hate you. Where, on the rare occasion you brought a man home, you would get a policeman's knock on your door. What would you calll that man, and if it was a friend what would you advise her too do??

Some may want to start making a living from their curtain twitching Smile
