Delivery man not wearing a mask

I just opened the door to a delivery driver not wearing a mask. He put the parcel on the doorstep but was about two feet away from me when I opened it, despite me taking a while to get to the door, thereby giving him ample time to walk two metres clear. He'll be visiting 100 households today at least - clearly not a very good idea.

No doubt the MN Covid police will be along in a minute to defend him to the hilt and say he doesn't need to wear a mask because he's exempt - whilst simultaneously arguing that people aren't taking restrictions seriously Hmm

I've had enough of this farce!

If he was outside he wouldn't need to wear one. How big an issue is this for you, really? You could always not answer the door in future if you're worried - just collect the parcel from your 'safe place'.

You would be fully justified in using dark arts judo on the next fucker to try that shit. Mask up first though.

You can’t possibly catch it off him, unless he coughed right in your face!

There’s so many people with very strange ideas about this virus.

The Usain Bolt comment made me chuckle, it's a bit like that here. The delivery drivers have been great. They knock, I go to the door, give a thumbs up but make no move to open the door, they put the parcel down and photograph me taking the parcel in from the end of the drive. It works really well.

Your delivery guy stayed put long enough for you to be worried about him not wearing a mask?! Our Amazon guy's back in his van, turned around and off down the street by the time the doorbell's finished ringing! (I swear Usain Bolt has our patch at the moment)

Exactly this. The speed of the delivery drivers round here is phenomenal. I usually just end of waving and yelling thank you to a speeding off van. Occassional the driver waves out of the window as he goes but definitely no chance of actually seeing a face let alone a mask.

Seriously though it was a very brief outdoor contact. The risk must be minuscule. Touching the parcel is probably more of a risk, although still very small.

Most delivery drivers have to deliver a set amount of parcels a day to deliver - which is why they literally drop and run. No way will they be faffing around with putting masks on and off too!
