What now!!!
I'm in Lancashire in a local lockdown and I keep hearing people saying that things are going to change on Monday and there's been some sort of "leaked document" confirming so.
I've not seen anything confirmed and I'm not here to spread gossip... just wondering if anyone can shed any light? Is it about to get a whole lot worse for us lot in the north west? 😰

I know one thing there's a whole lot of speculation, not just about restrictions. The hospitals are empty despite the propaganda, more cases because more testing.
Why are people allowing themselves to be whipped up to a frenzy, swallowing the hype and propaganda.

ceeveebee · 10/10/2020 15:02

Hospitals are not empty in the NW, they are at 1/3 of the peak. Across the country there is the same number as was on 23 March.

Parker231 · 10/10/2020 15:16

Hospitals are not empty. DH is a doctor and reckons the London hospitals will be getting as full as some of those in the north and north west soon

Then they'll be as empty as they are in the NW, then.
My dh isn't a doctor, but I know plenty, even a heart consultant deployed on covid wards, THEY"RE EMPTY. Do you believe any old shite you are told.

Chris Whitty and the NHS providers seem to know best about their bed capacity.

Admission figures

Devlesko · 10/10/2020 19:23

Admission figures of what?
People who are in hospital for hundreds of different reasons who happen to test positive within the last 28 days.
Good God, the bloody panic over nothing.

ceeveebee · 10/10/2020 19:28

Do you actually realise that people with COVID in hospital have to be contained within a COVID ward? Even if they aren’t initially admitted as a result of COVID? And therefore take up capacity?

To be honest I don’t know why I am asking as I am not actually interested in the response of some random off mumsnet.

Fizbosshoes · 10/10/2020 19:30

I think we're getting another nando's scale
