People ignoring the rules - so frustrated!

We are on holiday at the moment staying in a lovely village pub. Yesterday we were enjoying a drink there which was spoilt by a party of people who weren't all wearing masks when not seated at a table.

They were in a separate room (no door just a walk through) but we could see them through a window. They wore masks when going to the toilet but not when they were all chatting around different tables.

We complained only to be told they had just attended a funeral. I don't think covid cares! This has really put a dampner on our holiday. Why do people think the rules don't apply to them?

Why the hell do people talk about this bloody virus as if it's human?

God I know. It’s brainless drivel and getting really annoying.

The people who insist on flouting the rules are extending this wretched time ad infinitum.

I can’t believe people are still parroting this.

Short of complete lockdown, we can’t control it very well.

Until we’ve a vaccine (or perhaps super fast, efficient testing) it’s going to be with us no matter what we do.

There is no happy ending where we all follow ‘the rulez’ and it goes away.

While we’re on the subject I’m wondering. I know 30 people are allowed at a funeral but I had assumed this meant the actual service at a crematorium or church. Are the 30 then allowed to break the rule of 6 and go to a wake? I’d assumed not.
