How many cases per 100,000 in your area?

I have become slightly obsessed about checking the figures in my area each day. We have 7 per 100,000 which I think is pretty low. What are the numbers where you live?

  1. London borough. I think the area is too broad though. I saw a map a few weeks ago showing most cases were in the north of the borough - we're in the south, and don't spend much time in the northern bit.

I think it’s 9 but according to the Zoe app it’s more like 111. I don’t know what to believe!

LongWinterNights · 27/09/2020 20:27

Also 0! Really really hope it stays low.

80ish and rising
@NewNameNoName I'm not far from Bolton. Am really concerned about you guys up there, you've been in local lockdown for ages and figures are still rising? what's going on up there do you know the reason? and are local council/police actually working hard to stop it? We are in another part of GM where cases just keep rising despite the lockdown rules. Feel a bit forgotten about tbh.

I'm not in the UK but we are 3.3 and are under pretty strict restrictions. If we hit 7 we'll be back under full quarantine. Didn't realize the UK was doing so bad, some of those numbers are crazy high

  1. We're not in local lockdown but am guessing it wont be long..
tempnamechange98765 · 27/09/2020 20:34

46 per 100k. We're in local lockdown as of tonight (Cardiff).

0.0.46% though. Seems insanely low.

Not sure there were any 0 case areas in England for the 7 days between 16-22 Sep. This is the lowest 20 English LAs, with additional weeks for comparison.

The English median for those 7 days is 25.03 (Telford), however the overall is over 50 cases per 100,000 (eg total cases / total England population * 100,000). Whilst an average could be calculated given the range of population sizes across 300+ local council areas it would be pretty meaningless - the (meaningless) average is (unsurprisingly) 42.

How many cases per 100,000 in your area?
