How many cases per 100,000 in your area?

Florabella · 27/09/2020 17:44

I have become slightly obsessed about checking the figures in my area each day. We have 7 per 100,000 which I think is pretty low. What are the numbers where you live?

582 Medway.

We were on about 250 three weeks ago. Mass testing is supposed to be rolling out.

188, down from 562 pre lockdown. Tier 3 before and after lockdown.

Lockdown definitely worked round here.

@girlcrushonvillanelle and @Rainbowgravy

I run Covid Messenger which I started over the summer and I have just finished building a new local coronavirus dashboard on www.covidmessenger.com providing a summary of cases in each district council in England - compiled daily from the governments data release on the uk gov dashboard.

You are most welcome to use it if you would find it helpful. You can drill down to any council and can download the dashboard as Excel etc should you wish to analyse yourself etc.

It's all on www.covidmessenger.com.

I am going to try to find time to add hospital admissions and covid beds to it over coming weeks. I had a few really troubling conversations last week about hospitals in neighbouring councils (full and cases being diverted to hospitals in other councils). It is so sad and so worrying. I suspect it has quite a significant bearing on tiering.

Ginfordinner · 09/12/2020 12:44

Thank you for that link @littleowl1. Only a few weeks ago we were in one of the worst areas of the country for cases. Lockdown has certainly made a difference here as our cases are plummeting.

wendz86 · 10/12/2020 06:55

160.7. Cases increase of over 50% in last week .

Florelei · 10/12/2020 07:39

67 in a tier three area

RedRiverShore · 10/12/2020 07:53

67 tier 2, we were over 200 2 or 3 weeks ago so all good, I imagine we will stay in tier 2 as rest of county is 100-200

epythymy · 10/12/2020 07:59

120/100,000 and yet, we're in tier 3. Small town.

MozzchopsThirty · 10/12/2020 08:08

390 dear god!

hopefulhalf · 10/12/2020 08:33

199 this morning 3X increase in the last week!

Bubblemonkey · 10/12/2020 11:28

-216 on last week.

WanderingFruitWonderer · 12/12/2020 06:07

Oh crikey. Our rates have very suddenly soared Sad. We had the lowest rate in the country at the beginning of lockdown #2. How quickly things can change.
Just checked, and we're now 292/100,000. About a week ago, it was just over 60/100,000. Only about 3/100,000 when this thread started...
The swift rise is very worrying. I'm praying it doesn't go up any more. I'm in Hastings in East Sussex.

CarlottaValdez · 12/12/2020 06:15

246! A London borough.

BikeRunSki · 12/12/2020 06:26

169 in the borough
88 in the ward (as in sub area of council, nit hospital ward!)

Ginfordinner · 12/12/2020 07:38

Down to 140. Been steadily falling since lockdown. Tier 3.
