How many cases per 100,000 in your area?

I have become slightly obsessed about checking the figures in my area each day. We have 7 per 100,000 which I think is pretty low. What are the numbers where you live?

Oh I think that’s the total cases since the start of the pandemic, rather than the 7 day rate that other posters are giving (from the bbc)

My nearest town in South Yorkshire 183

FOJN · 06/10/2020 22:45

26 per 100 000 but was only 8 last week.

middleager · 06/10/2020 22:48

@Monstermissy36

We aren't in any local lockdown and have 92 cases in a time of just under 100k....

Does anyone know the threshold for being put into a local lockdown?

My nearest town has now reached over 100 and it's mentioned that it's a possibility. Birmingham was around 60, so I don't understand the reasoning.
Burnthurst187 · 06/10/2020 22:54

100

Pet8 · 06/10/2020 23:35

@scousemouse13

as of today 487 per 100,000. I don't know anyone currently who has tested positive, sure it's just a matter of time
A week ago neither did I. I've now heard of 10 Confused
Northernsoulgirl45 · 07/10/2020 08:56

29 now after being much lower. Also have a case in kids secondary school. Still more fortunate than other areas though.

FourTeaFallOut · 07/10/2020 11:16

171/100k and no restrictions.

DioneTheDiabolist · 07/10/2020 11:21

238 per 10k.😖

FourTeaFallOut · 07/10/2020 11:23

Where are you Dione ? Are they confirmed cases or is that estimated figure from the Zoe app?

goingcovidcrazy · 07/10/2020 11:26

170

DioneTheDiabolist · 07/10/2020 11:29

That's the number for Belfast from the BBC link.

Xiaoxiong · 07/10/2020 11:30

63 per 100k people, just outside London. Life pretty normal, no cases at my kids' school among students or staff.

Dustballs · 07/10/2020 11:32

We’re now 66. And it’s a sign of the times that I’m now feeling that is low ...

moveandmove · 07/10/2020 11:43

Mine has gone from 8 to 21

FourTeaFallOut · 07/10/2020 11:45

Fuck. That's heaps, that's almost 1 in 40 people. Sorry Diona I had no idea figures were that high.

Egghead68 · 07/10/2020 11:59

422 now. Rising rapidly

ceeveebee · 07/10/2020 12:03

@DioneTheDiabolist

238 per 10k.😖
Should that not be 238 per 100k people?
DioneTheDiabolist · 07/10/2020 12:07

Yep, should be 100k. I missed a 0.Blush

FourTeaFallOut · 07/10/2020 12:22

Smile I should have known, that would be some world beating testing capacity.

Haggled · 07/10/2020 12:30

24 this week, an increase on last week - although still insanely low.

Haggled · 07/10/2020 12:34

(I'm in Norfolk)

HRH18 · 07/10/2020 12:40

221 up to 3 October.

We have local restrictions in place

ceeveebee · 07/10/2020 12:43

The rate in fallowfield (in Manchester) is 483 per 10,000 so it’s not completely infeasible!! Although the population is only around 12,000
Helocariad · 07/10/2020 12:46

25 per 100k this week. Still low but has gone up recently.
