How many cases per 100,000 in your area?

I have become slightly obsessed about checking the figures in my area each day. We have 7 per 100,000 which I think is pretty low. What are the numbers where you live?

@Ginogineli

Liverpool 252

Link says 227 but our director of public health stated earlier today it’s now much higher at 252 so highest in country

I have heard of 5 people testing positive in the last week where previously I'd only heard of a few since March. Hope the relaxed Liverpool attitude becomes a bit less so quickly. Can't believe how rapidly the numbers have climbed, especially in South Liverpool
emergencybiscuit · 27/09/2020 22:21

72 and no local restrictions for some reason.

Oh shit really?!!?

I'm starting to hear about loads of people who have got it, fortunately everybody I know is fine and had it mildly at the moment but I can't understand why others in the area aren't more worried.

PurpleWave · 27/09/2020 22:26

I think that's doubled in the last week and now we are in lockdown from tomorrow because we are surrounded by higher numbers.

Ginogineli · 27/09/2020 22:26

Zigzag

It’s not going to go down as students only just arrived and many secondaries here were staggered - dd year only been back over a week

Not blaming students - I just mean they’re another rise in people generally

Thinks it’s a combination of everything rather than one group

I don’t know anyone working from home and no one I know describes their workplaces as covid secure - most say it’s no different! Mine certainly isn’t

Plus there’s 3 big universities in one city, plus edgehill uni and Chester round corner 🤷‍♀️

Smudge3 · 27/09/2020 22:26

252 and I'm really worried about sending my children to school tomorrow Sad

Christmas honestly everyone I know is relaxed and of those that aren’t they say they’re scared then lean all over you for the stapler 🤣🤷‍♀️

Bingobongo1 · 27/09/2020 22:29

38 slight rise of 7 in a week, other areas around are rising fast though.

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 27/09/2020 22:29

20 per 100,000 and cases are rising... they've doubled in a week. No hint of watchlist or local restrictions or anything.

Ginogineli · 27/09/2020 22:30

On positive side dds achool is at full capacity at the moment with no groups sent home

Tho when I asked dd how come no one was off she said ‘mum there’s loads off they’re just not going for tests as no one wants to send the year home’

Seems there’s a game at play

Causewithoutarebel · 27/09/2020 22:30
  1. I fear we’ll never get out of local lockdown.
TheySeeHerRowling · 27/09/2020 22:31

6 (in a large rural county - afaik there are none within 30 miles of my town)

MadameBlobby · 27/09/2020 22:32

40 odd I think

I'm just hoping we'll be like London was first time around, peak early then start to go down again when a lot of people have had it. Probably naive but I'm struggling to find much else to hope for at the moment Confused

BiarritzCrackers · 27/09/2020 22:43

Travelling Tabby is my go to site as it has lots of info on the nationwide picture, and that has 24 local authorities with 0 new cases today, but only one with 0 in the past 7 days (Shetland).

Mine is 5 today, 18 in the last week.

We've had 20 cases in the last week and had an increase of 7 week on week

Slowly going up
