DS had a test Sunday afternoon after developing a cough most likely from the heavy cold he had but the cough is dry and persistent so got the test..

Guy who took our test said 24-48 hours.

He 48 hours this afternoon. When do I chase it up?!

What time of day to test results usually come through??

We are in the south west of England where cases are generally low.

Waiting for the results of a 6.30pm Sunday test here as well.

BlueGreyGreens · 22/09/2020 18:53

@TheHound86 misery loves company 😂

Mol1628 · 22/09/2020 18:55

Mol1628 · 22/09/2020 18:56

Should have added they’re hard to get hold of though but seems they cone through quick

actiongirl1978 · 22/09/2020 19:48

Salisbury test 1pm Monday, result 7pm Tuesday. Good luck to all those waiting.

tryingmybest29 · 22/09/2020 20:37

Thanks all. I actually managed to get through on the phone. Explained that DS has autism and needs to back at school when it's likely just a a cold.

She sent an investigation email taking details and my barcode. Anyone else had the same??

OP posts:
missanony · 22/09/2020 20:49

Yes I’ve had the same this evening

BlueGreyGreens · 22/09/2020 20:52

Same today too. I don't think it will make any difference.

tryingmybest29 · 22/09/2020 20:55

People in the area who have been tested at the same site a day later have received their results already 😭😭 worried sick his are lost

BlueGreyGreens · 22/09/2020 20:58

Don't give up hope. They all seem to outsource couriers and who knows what the process is once tests arrive at the lab. I wouldn't assume lost yet.

Flower262 · 22/09/2020 21:01

Dd had test Sunday afternoon, results 48 hrs later, positive Sad

Friends were getting their tests at different centre 2 miles away and were getting results in 6 hrs!!

SnapeSnapeSeverusSnape · 22/09/2020 21:13

Nothing here yet either, I'm a teaching assistant supposed to be covering for ppa time tomorrow, it's ridiculous it's taking so long

Lumene · 23/09/2020 06:29

Still nothing, getting on for 72 hours now. I could cry.

GnomeDePlume · 23/09/2020 06:33

DD1 had a test on 15th, still no result. This was a second test as first test was 'inconclusive'.

Did your dd have symptoms or was it because someone else tested positive in school she had to be tested. I do hope you're all ok?
missanony · 23/09/2020 06:49

Still nothing, was really hoping to send everyone in today

tryingmybest29 · 23/09/2020 07:28

BlueGreyGreens · 23/09/2020 07:46

62 hours for my test, still waiting for DS's result...

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 23/09/2020 07:48

Glad that it was a negative trying & that he can get back to school.

Lumene · 23/09/2020 09:59

That’s great, trying.

Flower262 · 23/09/2020 10:19

@shesellsseashells99 DD’s school has nearly 20 cases in her year now, but she did also have a very mild cough (after a cold) so would have really been in 2 minds about testing, if it wasn’t for the large group of positives in her school bubble.

Gosh...see maybe DS school are being right it their approach then? That is what ds has had. A cold followed by a mild cough, it was dry...

SnapeSnapeSeverusSnape · 23/09/2020 10:54

Nothing yet, 70 hrs and counting.

It's really going to put people off getting tested.

I tried calling the helpline, but it just said too busy, if you've not had your result isolate for 10 days.

I've currently got three healthy children sat at home potentially missing yet another 2 weeks of school for no reason. It's so frustrating!

Lumene · 23/09/2020 12:02

That’s terrible - over a week! Shock
