Do I need to chase them up? I thought we’d have them by now. DP due back at work tomorrow, obviously he won’t be able to go unless they’re back: I know that, but very anxious. Also want to know results for my own peace of mind.

Following as I also sent mine back Thursday. Although I think mine is a seasonal flu/cold.

Bettyboop89 · 06/09/2020 16:04

@ShellsandSand that’s what I think mine is too. What are your symptoms?

Rossita · 06/09/2020 16:05

Mine postal test took 8 days!

ShellsandSand · 06/09/2020 16:19

I started Tuesday with a dry cough and feeling fluey, aching body ect. Then more of the same Wednesday but Thursday, Friday ect it progressed into a chesty, phlegmy cough and ive lost my taste and smell but only through a blocked nose. It comes back every now and again if sinuses are cleared with vapour. Dont think its covid but I do feel rough.

Bettyboop89 · 06/09/2020 16:21

@ShellsandSand mine sounds similar, but I didn’t have a dry cough. Mine started with sneezing and very bunged up nose then developed into a cough which is chesty snd phleghmy. I did have a temp and chills a few days ago too, but they’ve gone.
I just feel drained, run down and shattered. But I’ve got to continue looking after a demanding toddler.

@ShellsandSand I hope you feel better soon Flowers

Bettyboop89 · 06/09/2020 16:22

Oh and I also lost sense of smell for one day, but I was extremely bunged up at that point.

Bettyboop89 · 06/09/2020 16:22

@Rossita oh really?! That doesn’t bode well.

OP posts:
Bettyboop89 · 06/09/2020 16:23

@Rossita is that 8 days from when you sent it off?

OP posts:
Faraway20 · 06/09/2020 16:25

Postal tests seem to take 3-4 working days

Rossita · 06/09/2020 16:26
@Rossita is that 8 days from when you sent it off?
Yes from the day I sent it. Ds did one one the same day and his was back within 48hrs. Both negative results.

ShellsandSand · 06/09/2020 16:28

@Bettyboop89 Thanks. Hope you feel better too Flowers

covetingthepreciousthings · 06/09/2020 16:28

This might sound obvious but did you register the tests? Just as my DH did one back in June and didn't actually register to receive the results... he then remembered and got them via text about 5 mins after doing so.

Bettyboop89 · 06/09/2020 16:36

@covetingthepreciousthings yes as registered them before sending, scanned the barcode etc.

@Faraway20 Oh I didn’t realise that. So for us it would be Tuesday or Wednesday Sad

KingaRoo · 06/09/2020 16:38

Sorry, but my postal test took 10 days!

Bettyboop89 · 06/09/2020 17:14

@KingaRoo oh really? That’s worrying!

Justpassingtime1 · 06/09/2020 17:52

You should get the result via text . Still time yet Start panicking after
a week.

lumpybumpylooloo · 06/09/2020 18:32

Three of us did a test on Tuesday evening and I posted them off altogether on Wednesday afternoon. I got my results on Friday at around 3pm but my husband and son had still heard nothing by this afternoon so my husband called the number in the test booklet and they raised an investigation. Both test results then came through within an hour. So might be worth calling to chase it up.

yarncakes · 06/09/2020 20:15

I also had a test done Thursday. I'm still waiting. Last time it took 4 days.

SusanneLinder · 06/09/2020 20:34

I did phone to chase up.They have correct phone number, emails and still nothing. Its getting ridiculous.

msbevvy · 06/09/2020 20:42

Mine was collected by courier early Wednesday morning in anticipation of a hospital procedure on the Saturday.
I am still waiting for the results.

The hospital decided to go ahead anyway but I find that quite concerning.

I had been a bit reluctant to go there in the first place as I am extremely high risk but was reassured by the fact that everyone would have been recently tested.

marriednotdead · 06/09/2020 21:28

I had a postal test done and mailed it two Thursdays ago. Got the text results (negative) early on Tuesday morning.

Bettyboop89 · 06/09/2020 21:36
