Do I need to chase them up? I thought we’d have them by now. DP due back at work tomorrow, obviously he won’t be able to go unless they’re back: I know that, but very anxious. Also want to know results for my own peace of mind.
@marriednotdead so yours took 12 days?!
No, sorry if that wasn't clear!

It took 5 days.

DulcetMoans · 06/09/2020 22:28

@coverting - how did you register retrospectively?

We tested Thursday too and had no result. Only reading here did I see the thing about registering. Was rushing at the time (have newborn, please don't shout!). I know which code is which but doesn't work from the booklet when I scan or type it.

Anyone any ideas?

MissMarplesHandbag · 06/09/2020 22:30

9 days for me.

KitchenConfidential · 06/09/2020 22:34

@DulcetMoans try calling them tomorrow. We had similar issues and they can do the registration for you.

tinkerbellvspredator · 06/09/2020 22:41

We sent ours off on Friday, no results yet.

My code also didn't work on the website so I phoned and they registered them all over the phone.

Was hoping it would be tomorrow latest, sounds like that might not happen!

DulcetMoans · 06/09/2020 22:55

Thanks both! I called as it said they opened until 11pm and it's all done now. Doesn't sound like the result will come any time soon though... She said 72hours is what they say.

Buttybach · 06/09/2020 23:00

I sent mine on Wednesday and I had the result by Text today to say negative, Mine is tonsillitis

Bettyboop89 · 06/09/2020 23:04

@Buttybach what time did yours come in today?

Still nothing Sad doesn’t look like my partner will be going into work.

Bettyboop89 · 07/09/2020 08:49

Have any of you got yours through?

OP posts:
yarncakes · 07/09/2020 09:12

Still nothing. I think this is going to be a common occurance as the labs must be inundated as a lot more testing is being carried out. Not helpful for us who have to go work and send our DC to school though

TheDrsDocMartens · 07/09/2020 09:13

3 weeks. Phone call said they couldn’t find it. Luckily(!?!) it was a research one rather than ‘I’ve symptoms’

Bettyboop89 · 07/09/2020 09:35

I’m hoping we’ll get them back at some point today or I guess tomorrow

I did a postal test recently, swabbed and sent back on Friday 28 August and it took until late Monday 31st to get the results through. Given the stretching of test capacity at the moment and spike in positive results over the weekend maybe that's slowing things down.

Monkeysocks38 · 07/09/2020 13:03

I did a postal test which I sent back on Thursday. Unfortunately, I didn't read the instructions properly and only registered for the test last night! I've just called 119 to check my results are now not lost forever and it should still be ok but the timescale to receive results is 72 hours after registering.

Bettyboop89 · 07/09/2020 13:54

@Monkeysocks38 I’ve definitely already registered the test, so I don’t think that’s the problem.
Still no sign of them Sad

@Bettyboop89 The lady on the phone said if I hadn't received the results within 72 hours of registering I should call so they can start an investigation so it's probably worth giving them a call so they can look into yours.

tinkerbellvspredator · 07/09/2020 16:41

Still no results here. I just phoned (dead on 72 hours after registering the tests!) and they can't put in a 'late results' form because I didn't write down which barcode went with which member of my family.

Nevermind I registered and they put on their system which name went with which barcode...so that must be in the system already.

God I want the kids to go back to school Sad

Bettyboop89 · 07/09/2020 17:28

@tinkerbellvspredator do you register the tests after you send them off? I think we did ours before

OP posts:
Bettyboop89 · 07/09/2020 17:39

Still nothing received

OP posts:
tinkerbellvspredator · 07/09/2020 18:07

Before, you're supposed to do the registration then take the test. I had to phone up to register them because the online form gave me an error message at the end.

But in good news our results all came through an hour again and we are all negative. Back to school whoop whoop

DulcetMoans · 07/09/2020 18:23

Do responses come out at any hour or is it just working hours?

(Can I stop refreshing my emails?)

Bettyboop89 · 07/09/2020 18:49

I’m glad some of you have your results, if we haven’t heard by tomorrow (5 days since posting) then we’ll call them.

Monkeysocks38 · 08/09/2020 11:21

Just an update. Having sent tests back on Thursday and finally realising we needed to register on Sunday evening we got our results back at 8.30am today. Thankfully both negative.
