Postal Test Results - how long?

We sent them off on Thursday...when shall we expect a result?
Back to work on Monday, so really need them before then.

I sent mine tuesday and have still not heard back. I will have done 10 days isolating tomorrow without a test result due to the bank holiday posting.

That’s not filled me with much optimism I was really hoping we’d get them back before Monday. Do they send results via text/email on a Sunday?

Am still waiting too.... Ordered on Tuesday, arrived at 9pm Wednesday ( thank you Amazon, who can deliver all sorts of shit early, but not something important), posted Thursday, arrived at Depot at 6.12am yesterday and still nothing. Annoyed.com.

Also still waiting. Ordered test Tues, arrived Weds, sent back on Weds. Tracked test and it got to the lab on Thurs at 09.45. DD goes back to school on Monday - I don't want her to miss any more!

Highly unlikely that it will be positive - younger DD sent home from nursery with a temperature on Tuesday but no other symptoms and was back to normal less than 24 hours later. But, as it was a symptom is quite rightly told to isolate and get a test. Household also need to isolate = no school until clear test or 14 days pass.

Sent mine off on Wednesday and still waiting. Really want to know by Monday so kids can go back to school.

I sent mine back on a Thursday and had results back Friday evening (as per pp had requested it on Tues and arrived weds evening). Fingers crossed text will come over weekend for you

It took 5 days for my daughters postal test result last week. Hope it’s quicker than that for you. 💐
We got the text and the email at exactly the same time and that was on Saturday evening.

@Candyflossrainbow...use the code that was on your postal box that you sent. We were told to take a pic of box. Daughter just phoned helpline and they said our results should be texted to us later today or first thing tomorrow. Fingers crossed x

Anyone got their results yet? I sent mine off Friday and looks like I was being optimistic abiut getting back by today!

8 days i waited last week

Nope still don’t have the results yet.

We sent ours off on a Thursday and got the results on the Monday at teatime.

Me neither. Allegedly they have emailed the lab. Tests arrived definitely, however now they are saying it could be another couple of days. Or then they said that if testing proves inconclusive , we won't get anything back. . So we have to self isolate till next Sunday if we hear nothing and I'm going bananas in house, as not allowed to walk the dogs...who are also going nuts. 😪

Finally got mine this afternoon (posted Weds) Negative.

Still nothing from mine after posting Wednesday. I called the 119 helpline but all they did was take my details and said they'd send an email to the late test people and that someone would call me back later today. I've not been called. DD is really, really hacked off that it looks like she'll miss the first day of year 6. Also will now need to do home schooling + toddler entertaining as can't go to nursery + trying to work from home again...

Got results this morning - negative. Just in time for going to school so very relieved!

Posted Wed afternoon got results on Monday morning. Test result is “unclear”. Suggested a repeat test but I believe as it is day 6 it is too late for a repeat test.

DS posted his test first thing last Thurs morning text results came through negative 3pm Friday

Posted Tuesday results Sunday. Negarive but I believe I rested too late reckon by the time I tested I was day 6 at least.
