Test results through the night?

Toddlermum1990 · 31/08/2020 22:43

Anyone who has had a test via a drive through have you had results throughout the night?

I had a test Sunday morning and awaiting results I suffer with anxiety and haven't slept last night and currently pacing. I've refreshed my emails about a million times today. I've got cold like symptoms but have a temperature so not sure if it is covid or not but my husband is more poorly than me. (Coughing)

I dont even know why I'm posting this as I know it won't get the results any quicker!!

We are waiting here too.. Ds 2.5 was tested at 1030 yesterday morning.. Was hoping the results would have been through early this morning

Figmentofimagination · 01/09/2020 10:43

I had a test 3:30pm on Saturday at a drive thru test site. Came through by email after 11pm on the Sunday night, 31 hours later. Text came though just before 7am yesterday morning.

Watsername · 01/09/2020 11:50

I have had 2 tests through drive-through. One result through at 3:30am, the other through at 6am.

beakyboo10 · 01/09/2020 11:51

My husband had the test at 11am yesterday as he was showing symptoms, still waiting for the results. My son returns to school on Thursday so really need to know and my youngest child is off nursery today. I really hoped it would come through within 24 hours.

Toddlermum1990 · 01/09/2020 12:26

Glad to hear everyone's is negative at least 😊 were 44 hours in and they say up to 72 hours so just have to wait little longer i suppose.

Had one first thing Monday morning...no results yet. 119 said there is a backlog and to allow the full 72hours rather than 48.

keepingbees · 01/09/2020 22:17

I had a test this evening. They said 18-24 hours for results here, but my area is currently classed as high risk if that makes a difference

Spaghettihooplas · 02/09/2020 07:30

My two DC had tests we are on 44 hours and still waiting for results. All due back at work and school today. Can’t take the waiting it’s agonising, I can’t focus on anything. Just told work I can’t go in..... doubt kids will be going to school Sad

beakyboo10 · 02/09/2020 08:24

We still haven't had my husbands results from Monday morning, he rang 119 and they said they can't investigate until 48 hours and just asked if he is classed as an essential worker. Looks like the kids won't be back at nursery and school. Also need to cancel my cars service and my physio (which I will have to pay for). Hopefully will hear soon.

CarlottaValdez · 02/09/2020 08:25

My husband’s result took about 18 hours I think. Came through early morning.

Toddlermum1990 · 02/09/2020 08:26

We are at 72 hours now 119 said an investigating has been opened. My husband had had to cancel a job interview and also our son was supposed to start back nursery today.

Oh well nothing we can do, they must just be really busy.

God that’s so frustrating for you, I’m sorry. Hope you hear soon.

keepingbees · 02/09/2020 09:32

I'm really hoping mine don't take that long DC are supposed to be back at school tomorrow. Are the test results regional or is it a national backlog?

Toddlermum1990 · 02/09/2020 10:08

By the sounds of it, it could be regional backlog maybe?

OP posts:
keepingbees · 02/09/2020 10:10

I've no idea. Hope you hear soon!

Spaghettihooplas · 02/09/2020 10:23

I think regional also

BlackeyedSusan · 02/09/2020 10:36

That's shit.

We got emails at 12.20 am an a text shortly after 6am

beakyboo10 · 02/09/2020 11:03

We are in the East Midlands, not sure if its a regional backlog but when my husband booked the test there were 150 available that day for that test centre.

Toddlermum1990 · 02/09/2020 11:23

We are Midlands and at the test centre it was dead, she said they'd had a quite weekend. Not sure what lab they go to so it could be there. They've confirmed they've arrived at the lab at least.

I'm East Midlands too. Our nearest test centre had no slots but one just up the road had loads and was really quiet

Spaghettihooplas · 02/09/2020 12:37

Fingers crossed you hear soon

Spaghettihooplas · 02/09/2020 13:16

Has anyone had any results lost?
