I’m not being funny, but can’t people use google?!

Kisforkaylied · 31/08/2020 10:00

3 confirmed cases, one passed away.

5 suspected, but it was before widespread testing, so unsure.

AuntieMarys · 31/08/2020 10:01

No one. Two possibly but it could have been a cold. Who knows?

Talcott2007 · 31/08/2020 10:02

Personally know - 0
Friends of Friends/Family/work colleagues - 4 who have died (all from different parts of the country) and probably 20ish who have reported positive tests

TheKeatingFive · 31/08/2020 10:02

I have never heard of yellow hearts. Is that widespread? I haven’t seen it or heard it mentioned anywhere.

tornadoalley · 31/08/2020 10:04

None

ClashCityRocker · 31/08/2020 10:04

2 - one died, one in hospital for a period but now recovered.

Both from the period where they weren't testing unless you were seriously ill though.

ShitStain · 31/08/2020 10:04

...

BikeTyson · 31/08/2020 10:04

1 confirmed case. 2 or 3 suspected.

BikeTyson · 31/08/2020 10:05

Oh and the confirmed one was asymptomatic.

CuppaZa · 31/08/2020 10:07

5 confirmed cases. 2 of which sadly died.

nex18 · 31/08/2020 10:11

Thanks for the link @EleanorOalike although it gives a massive area, not just local to me, (5 deaths in 4 villages and various hamlets, population of around 15,000)

nex18 · 31/08/2020 10:12

3 care homes in that area too

EverythingisBlossom · 31/08/2020 10:17

In terms of confirmed cases, there is only one person that I actually know but I am aware of one more (a colleague's MiL). Both recovered although my friend's recovery is taking a long time and she's likely to have reduced lung capacity for the rest of her life (young but had other underlying health issues)

I have one relative who is convinced she had it before testing was available and I am in this position myself - had all the symptoms in mid-March and get a very occasional slight tightness in my chest at times now. I'll never really know though.

BikeTyson · 31/08/2020 10:19

I put my full postcode in the ONS thing and it says 12 deaths. This uses Middle Layer Superoutput Areas which have on average a population of 7200.

BikeTyson · 31/08/2020 10:20

Quite a lot. Twelve people just in my postcode have died from it.

They haven’t. 12 people on the MSOA your postcode falls into it have.

MrsR87 · 31/08/2020 10:22

3 - my mum, stepdad and brother who all live together.

Tomatoesneedtoripen · 31/08/2020 10:23

0 apart from 1 relative of a colleague, not in this area and 6 in the local care home Sad

Tomatoesneedtoripen · 31/08/2020 10:24

all above died
Tomatoesneedtoripen · 31/08/2020 10:25

however the figures are skewed,
when did testing become widely available?

May09Bump · 31/08/2020 10:26

1 confirmed, elderly and died. I believe our family had it - 3 out of four people in February - recovered but floored us. Friends in same school also had similar March - unconfirmed, but very infectious when through families quickly and longer recovery than most bugs.

PeskyRooks · 31/08/2020 10:29

I'm pretty sure me & my 4 dc had it in February we were all illest we'd ever been, all dc off school just laying in bed terrible hacking coughs. Ds couldn't even play xbox for 5 days!! I remember writing a note to school for dd13 two weeks later to excuse her from PE as she still couldn't exert herself without coughing and getting breathless!
Weirdly the only one of us not ill was dh who has RA so is on meds similar to hydrochloroquinine which at one point they were saying was effective against Covid. Who knows though?
Also my brother's family ill at the same time my niece age 2 hospitalised overnight. Obviously none of us tested, before we were even really aware of Covid!
My aunty definitely had it she got a positive test. She was ill with it in DECEMBER! But she lives in the USA.

pollylocketpickedapocket · 31/08/2020 10:33

monkeyted · 31/08/2020 10:34
