Would you meet close friends indoors for food?

Just that question really.

Would you meet up with friends indoors at someone's house to share food and drinks? How many would you deem to be an acceptable amount of people...?

Waxonwaxoff0 · 23/08/2020 15:36

Yes. I've done it with 4 people.

delilabell · 23/08/2020 15:37

Yep! 4 of us have met up

lifesalongsong · 23/08/2020 15:38

I haven't but I would consider it

shesellsseashells99 · 23/08/2020 15:40

There would be 6 of us...

Yes, done it with 3 people. Could have been more but couple of people were away.
Kept patio door open, we’re fine.

frasersmummy · 23/08/2020 15:54

yup have done it a few times .. 2 of us usually.. but there were 4 of us last week

McCheney73 · 23/08/2020 16:57

Yep had 2 of my good friends over for food and my teenage niece another time. In my opinion it's no different to meeting them in a restaurant/pub. If anything safer as they are full of other people.
Just to add I do feel happy and safe going out except in wetherspoons the other day 😡

Hoohaahoo · 23/08/2020 16:58

Yes

DottyWott · 23/08/2020 16:59

Nope, I’m in Greater Manchester

lifeafter50 · 23/08/2020 16:59

Yes.
Have you seen the stats on deaths?
Less risk of CV death than just about every other hazard including food poisoning from undercooked barbie food or the sky falling on your head.

SummerHouse · 23/08/2020 17:02

Yes.

nogoodsolution · 23/08/2020 17:06

Yes, I have done this with several friends, and yes I will do it again.

nephrofox · 23/08/2020 17:07

Yes. Was in a party of 12 yesterday.

bigchris · 23/08/2020 17:13

I would yes but I don't live with anyone shielding, have been working full time all through lockdown, have been getting public transport whole time too

If I visited an elderly relative I might feel differently

dementedma · 23/08/2020 17:22

Yes. More chance of being hit by a bus.

StealthPolarBear · 23/08/2020 17:24

Is the rule still two households?

harper30 · 23/08/2020 17:25

Yep, met up with 4 friends today for lunch at a pub 👍

museumum · 23/08/2020 17:26

Three households is the Scottish limit. But we’ve only had one household over (4 adults, 1 child total) as that as many as we can fit while doing the social distance dance (eg not sharing a sofa)

middleager · 23/08/2020 17:26

Of course. Just returning from a meetup of 10.
More danger on the drive home.

NailsNeedDoing · 23/08/2020 17:27

Yes, I have done this, and wouldn’t be bothered by how many other people or households there are there.

DisgruntledGuineaPig · 23/08/2020 17:39

6 people, is that 3 households? Yep. Would do.

thewinkingprawn · 23/08/2020 17:42

Yes, have done. Largest group about 12. Death rate incredibly low and I think we all need to get a grip.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 23/08/2020 17:46

Yes i have done

MereDintofPandiculation · 23/08/2020 17:49

Guidance is still that you should not socialise indoors in groups of more than two households, so that's an awful lot of people prepared to ignore the guidance.

Law is "not more than 30" so don't face any penalty for ignoring the guidance.

HelloDulling · 23/08/2020 17:52

Yes I would. Though, DH met in a group of six last week, and two days later one tested positive so they all have to quarantine for 14 days, which has been a bit of an arse. I guess the odds of that happening go up with the number in your group.
