Would you meet close friends indoors for food?

Just that question really.

Would you meet up with friends indoors at someone's house to share food and drinks? How many would you deem to be an acceptable amount of people...?

No. Outdoor only.

AnnaMariaDreams · 23/08/2020 17:52

I would with another household but under local lockdown so can’t just now. Will be as soon as allowed.
If they continue this through winter we won’t be able to stick to it. Not having a winter with no social life whatsoever!

AnnaMariaDreams · 23/08/2020 17:54

What I mean is- if they put us back on the same restrictions as the rest of the country I’ll be ok with that so 2 households but this no one in the house or garden isn’t sustainable.

JazzaGal · 23/08/2020 17:57

No.

DamitJanet · 23/08/2020 17:58

Only outside, not indoors.

latticechaos · 23/08/2020 18:02

Not doing indoors unless very spacious/ventilated. But as it is against guidance, wouldn't meet more than one household anyway.

Qasd · 23/08/2020 18:03

Yes we Stayed two nights at my in laws house, six of us but only two households so was within the rules not sure social distancing was number standard throughout and certainly not while eating but we tried our best and there was no physical touching, lots of time spent in the garden. We were just relieved to see them since they leave far away and another national lockdown would mean we could have gone a very long time without seeing them if we didn’t over the summer.

Chewbecca · 23/08/2020 18:04

Yes, we have, it’s allowed isn’t it? We’ve only had 2 households indoors, 3 out of doors.

OverTheRainbow88 · 23/08/2020 18:27

I went with 4 friends to a restaurant for brunch today

DiddlySquatty · 23/08/2020 18:27

First instinct was I wouldn’t have a massive problem with it

But actually we have not done this - one other family only. Have had people round a small group but not for a meal

minnieok · 23/08/2020 18:28

Yes, mostly family

JonHammIsMyJamm · 23/08/2020 18:28

Yes

Northernsoullover · 23/08/2020 18:40

No I wouldn't but that's because I have seen many cases that have been transmitted this way. For every case there will be a gazillion other households who get away with it. It a lottery really. I'm just not ready to risk it.

Racoonworld · 23/08/2020 18:57

No not at the moment, whilst the weather is good enough we are sticking to outdoors. Also it’s two households allowed indoors at the moment, so the number of people is irrelevant (as long as there is enough space for social distancing).

ineedaholidaynow · 23/08/2020 19:02

No, because I want schools to open and stay open, and mixing households is the thing that's causing the rate to rise in certain areas.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 23/08/2020 19:03

Yes, but only one person for lunch/dinner/drinks at a time. We sat at the - large - kitchen table, and kept the back door open.

OverTheRainbow88 · 23/08/2020 19:24

I think everyone wants schools to open and stay open, but the latest is a vaccine won’t be ready until winter 2021, so we can’t not mix Households until then!!

BeeTrees · 23/08/2020 19:26

No, outside only.

Han334 · 23/08/2020 20:06

Hilarious most people don't know what the law is

OverTheRainbow88 · 23/08/2020 20:10

@Han334
Do you mean the guidelines?

redcarbluecar · 23/08/2020 20:14

Yeah I’ve eaten with friends indoors- not that many times but it doesn’t bother me much. Check what people are comfortable with I guess.

userxx · 23/08/2020 20:32

Hell yes.

WendyHoused · 23/08/2020 20:33

No.

MarcelineMissouri · 23/08/2020 20:36

Yes I have and will.

Mumblechum0 · 23/08/2020 20:37

Yes, had 2 other couples for dinner last night. Planned to eat outside but the weather had other ideas.
