Even if this pandemic does run into 2022, we won’t be stuck with restrictions until then, right? We will be back to normality to some extent? Not sure I could deal with another two years of this crap.

Oh and this hasn't destroyed my life. I'm not saying that at all. Its just made it dull.

I feel the same way. So many of the things I look forward to aren't going to be happening for some time. Not just the bigger things, like travel, but also little things like picking out an outfit to wear, a relaxed drink in the pub, going to my local swimming pool without a regimented environment and so on. Obviously these aren't great hardships in rhe scheme of things - just to preempt any of the resilience brigade sharing their wisdom about how things were worse during the war - but they do make life kind of joyless and Groundhog Day-like. At least they do for me.

People don't seem to realise that the older you are and particularly if you have poor health, 2 years feels like a long time. The little day to day things that get people through. It can make things very hard.
