If Spain is v.likely in a second wave and France not far behind them does that mean we are also heading straight in to one again?

Will schools open regardless this September?

Schools are open in both Spain and France Europe generally isn’t keen on further school closures so I assume the same here even if we follow. It should be noted too that Spain seems to have had a surge, opened its schools and now a plateaued although at a very high rate. So I cannot see on that evidence why they can shut schools blaming them for the outbreak!

The real issue with commuters is in places beyond greater manchesters borders where there are no intergrated transport strategies to the centre of manchester

I agree that public transport in the north of England for commuters is dire but do many people really want to cycle into Manchester city centre from West Yorkshire, Derbyshire and all the other counties bordering GM

I also think the reception kids shouldn't start in September because what a confusing and daunting way to start school. They would all be better off at home until teachers don't have to fear giving them contact when they need it. Many need help with buttons, toileting and things at that age. Not to mention they havn't had any settling on periods.

I am a teacher and recently spent a week in reception and nursery classes. I can assure you that the teachers are getting on with it exactly as they always have. We helped children with their coats, putting their bags and lunch boxes away, we comforted them if they were upset and sat beside them for activities. Except for additional hand washing, it is very much business as usual.
