I imagine it's to do with the Leicester lock down and I think it will be extended. I am in the lock down area and people have just had enough now.

Here in Leicester people are waiting with baited breath to hear what is happening wrt our extended lockdown.

Our mayor is adamant that it would be lifted, and rightly or wrongly people are listening to him- partly because they are confused by the situation and desperate for information.

We've been told to expect news today, but not how or when.

So we are hoping that it will be covered at 5pm.

Businesses are going to ruin as shoppers flock to nearby Nottingham instead. People have cancelled uk and foreign trips. Fragile people are still avoiding routine doctors appointments. Other people are flouting rules, carrying on as of nothing is wrong and travelling and holidaying to their hearts content (including NHS nurses, and doctors). It's a chaotic shambles.

That face masks have to be worn at all times outside now🙄...or (as this government and scientific advisors keep changing their minds all the time!) .....ummm actually don't worry about wearing face masks...they make no difference to transmission rates and don't make you safer?
