Most pubs not opening on 4th July?

I just had a Google and so far I can't find a single pub in my area (which has tons of pubs) which is opening on 4th of July. Is this likely because pubs haven't been given adaquate notice and is this happening in other places? I'm wondering if restaurants will be the same too actually.

Most seem to be re-opening end of July.

I cant imagine the regulars not being in there. I suppose they’ll book tables and order chips.

Our local village pub is opening on the 4th and have just published their 'rules' Grin

The one across from me is opening. I'm going for a meal on the Sunday

I’ve seen two local pubs advertising reopening parties.

As we are still (in england) only allowed a 'gathering' of 2 indoors, or 6 outside, I don't see how any pub can realistically open.

Most pubs will struggle to make this pay,, pubs like Wetherspoons will probably be happy enough to run at a loss until they've forced the others out of business.

Spoons pubs tend to be large, cheap and already have an app in place. I would imagine they're quite well set up for how the government envision social distancing working in pubs.

I think City centre pubs will struggle round here - very few have beer gardens and many consist of a series of quite small rooms.

Just wait until people have have a few drinks then the rules will be out of the window. My local is opening according to Facebook. No rules published, no need to book tables. Local restaurant is opening too with limited seating. I dread to think what it will be like.

The pub where I work is opening on 4th July. It's a real locals pub where most the village meets and I really can't imagine much social distancing going on after a few drinks to be honest!! Think it's going to be a nightmare especially indoors really hope I'm proved wrong and they are sensible.

I assume pubs risk losing their licence if they don’t follow the rules. Also from an employers’ point of view they need to ensure their employees work in a COVID safe place
