Does anyone else think Chris Whitty is getting smaller?

He obviously lost weight while he was ill, his suits have been too big since then, but, to me, he still seems to be shrinking, almost withered. I hope he's OK, I'd imagine the stress and frustrations he's facing are huge.

If he's reading from.paperwork or an autocue, he struggles as he has Dyslexia.

Maybe he's bought some new shirts online and found that stuff you buy online doesn't always fit when it arrives. Probably can't be arsed to send it back.

Quite like Dido at least she trys to actually answer the questions rather than the usual waffle and avoiding the actual questions.

Yes he has and always appears uncomfortable reading the daily testing/infection/death rates like he is scared he will get it wrong. I hadn't realised either but makes a lot of sense now as to why I thought his presentation is sometimes so clumsy/stilted

A lot of people who caught COVID lost a lot of weight, one of the symptoms is anorexia.

@ihatethecold there’s a well established link between viral & bacterial infections & anorexia. I don’t believe scientists fully understand the mechanisms yet but could be to do with virus in central nervous system impacting appetite.
If you look at clinical reports of Covid19 patients, anorexia is seen esp among older patients & those with dementia.

Agree @GreyGardens88. Maybe he thinks it would do more harm than good to resign at the moment.

And then he would lose the little bit of influence that he still has over this dreadful govt and no one would gain anything. Sometimes it's better to stay put and work on the blocks and challenges from inside.
