Thanks @ponoka7

Deadringer · 03/06/2020 16:22

And at 15.32 the op is revealed as the fat shamer they are. That didn't take long. Op read ShootsFruitAndLeaves post, then read it again.

ShootsFruitAndLeaves · 03/06/2020 16:23

Yes, sensible developing countries are noting that Covid-19 is a disease of rich countries and they face greater burdens from TB, malaria, dengue fever, even HIV.

It's not even a BLIP on developing countries' health radar in terms of the death impact (more people will die from the economic effects in these countries).

Covid-19 is a big issue because it affects rich white countries who thought they were done with infections diseases.

ShootsFruitAndLeaves · 03/06/2020 16:24

I mean 'it's being treated as a big issue only because'

Lily193 · 03/06/2020 16:29

ByGaslight Great post.

OP, there's nothing new in that article that hasn't been said a thousand times before.

HeIenaDove · 03/06/2020 16:39

It makes no difference to me how you live your life

And yet here you are posting about that very thing...........AGAIN!

Alex50 · 03/06/2020 16:48

Does it matter what I think, i’m some stranger on the internet, i’ve obviously hit a nerve, if you are worried about your health why not do something about it,? you can get angry with me all you like but it will make no difference to how you feel about yourself.

a. I thought this thread was about Covid 19.

b. I used to be ten stone heavier. I feel fine about myself. Im not the one starting shaming threads using a fatal illness that has killed thousands of people , as a shield to disguise their true motives.

HeIenaDove · 03/06/2020 16:58

@TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 I dont have DC but am often in awe of women who do AND who have to juggle in the way you do and do 15+ hour days.

Alex50 · 03/06/2020 16:58

Good for you well done 👍

ACautionaryTale · 03/06/2020 17:03

According to MN I should be dead

44 and a BMI of 52

I had Covid (*confirmed) and was a bit ill for two days. Lost my sense of smell which still isn't back.

other than that, nothing more to see here....

It increases risk, it does NOT even mean you will automatically get a severe case let alone die!

But I have been taking 4000mg of vitamin D since Feb - which probably has more to do with it

Alex50 · 03/06/2020 17:04

That’s great

OP posts:
lesbihonest · 03/06/2020 17:16

Oh good - we haven’t had a fat bashing thread for a couple of days Hmm .

dobbyssoc · 03/06/2020 17:30

OP out of interest do you fall into the overweight/obese category?
If not what did you want out of sharing this article? What is your argument?

Flowersinthewild · 03/06/2020 17:35

Hmm what a great thread to start....NOT

Alex50 · 03/06/2020 17:37

I was trying to share information, I honestly didn’t realise how emotive it was going to be

OP posts:
dobbyssoc · 03/06/2020 17:40

@Alex50 so do you fit into the category?

Lily193 · 03/06/2020 17:40

ACautionaryTale I'm very happy to read your great positive story that also brings a sensible perspective.

I'm getting very tired of seeing these disgusting threads on MN.

Fallsballs · 03/06/2020 17:41

Alex50 must be a secret internet porker in disguise.

Alex50 · 03/06/2020 17:46

Ha ha maybe i was, I have lost 10st by diet and exercise. I made those lifestyle choices, that you have to make or otherwise you will always be in Fallsballs words an internet porker 😂

At least we can lose weight, OP.

Sadly, there is no cure or recovery from being a massive cunt.

My condolences.

Alex50 · 03/06/2020 17:50

Wow nice language Hmm

OP posts:
Dyrne · 03/06/2020 17:52

Top tip: If you don’t like hearing the word Cunt, then it might be worth not acting like one.

HeIenaDove · 03/06/2020 17:53

@Alex50 Unlike you i didnt lose my empathy along with my weight.

Alex50 · 03/06/2020 17:55

@Dyrne there other ways to express yourself than using such awful language, I will not lower myself to that level.
