Where is Whitty and Valence?? Last reported to be walking into DS, never to be seen again??

SouthWestmom · 26/05/2020 17:08

I think they've squashed it unless the guardian have more.

I don't even think what he did what so bad in and of itself (started thread 1 saying this!) it's the breaking guidance and rewriting it etc etc.

So pissed off at the lack of real power to effect change we have in this sea of blue.

I just hope people remember the slimy twat slithering last journos adamant it didn't matter what it looked like, proving it by turning up in the same t shirt the next day and being rewarded with a presser. Boris is damaged very badly as we all know he isn't in charge.

Yes no word of it in the article. It’s all very fishy.

Whitty and Valance are probably crying in a corner somewhere.

’s constituency. Worth reading the comments underneath this warning from Hillingdon Police that social distancing rules being trampled on. NB Cummings insisted to me he had not introduced personal discretion into how we follow those rules

I said on here and in RL that this would happen.

SouthWestmom · 26/05/2020 17:11

Who is Newton? Dom's uncle's nephew he owes a favour to?

OP posts:
Everytimeref · 26/05/2020 17:11

Agree @Noeuf. It's the lying, blaming unknown evil forces and basic lack of apology that annoys the most. ( And the eye test car ride which make it ridiculous)

Laaf80 · 26/05/2020 17:13

I agree Neouf, what he did wasn’t great but an apology would have done me. I could have swallowed a refused resignation.

How they’ve dealt with it is horrendous. The lack of humility tells us that they are above the rules they wrote.

The stories of sacrifice are heart rendering. People made decisions based on rules but are now told they should have followed their instinct and common sense (see Grenfell).

HeIenaDove · 26/05/2020 17:16

ooh first question from the public is about the fines.

SouthWestmom · 26/05/2020 17:16

That's the thing isn't it. He hasn't broken drink driving laws/rules about cricket/something we aren't impacted by.

He's covered up (not just not mentioned it but actually allowed half truths to circulate) breaking the laws

OP posts:
SouthWestmom · 26/05/2020 17:17

thank you Martin

OP posts:
GrimmsFairytales · 26/05/2020 17:17

Good question, but what's the betting we never hear an update on the fines.

HeIenaDove · 26/05/2020 17:19

right at the start of this lockdown both DH and i kept saying we are not all in this together.

We expected to be proved right but not so spectacularly.

DuncinToffee · 26/05/2020 17:19

Yes it's the lies, the lies from DC, his wife, the ones backing him with more lies.
As Gary Lineker keeps tweeting 'just stop lying'

HeIenaDove · 26/05/2020 17:20

Matt Hancock you utter utter hypocritical wanker.

SouthWestmom · 26/05/2020 17:20

Quoting 'Dom' there

OP posts:
GrimmsFairytales · 26/05/2020 17:20

Hancock is going for the BJ answer, you've already had a chance to ask DC, so shut up.

Bullshit Bullshit Bullshit.

He and his wife didn't need any help. You could never travel just in case you needed help.

SouthWestmom · 26/05/2020 17:21

'Exceptional' where does it say this it just doesn't . This is my asd coming out.

OP posts:
ButteryPuffin · 26/05/2020 17:21

Great fines question. Well done Martin.

Total arse licking by Hancock re Cummings.

What's the R now?

SouthWestmom · 26/05/2020 17:22

This is when I wish people like Bill Hicks were still alive

OP posts:
GrimmsFairytales · 26/05/2020 17:22

Wow that was a savage reply to Peston. Shock

Might as well have just said fuck off.

SouthWestmom · 26/05/2020 17:22

A new angle from Peston. Well done!

OP posts:
Everytimeref · 26/05/2020 17:22

"It's in the guidelines, where does it say for childcare?? Does it actually say that?

If people have been fined it shows the police were under the impression, childcare wasnt an reasonable excuse for travelling.

Saucery · 26/05/2020 17:23

I think maybe their son has health comorbidities that mean he was admitted to hospital. But I’m uncomfortable pursuing that line of thought as the poor little lad can’t help who his parents are and even if they want to use him as a decoy in this shitshow I don’t have to join in with that.

I can’t get on with the foolishness of people ‘flocking’ anywhere. Then again, all we hear from politicians now is “I’ve had it, it was nasty but I recovered” so that plays into the Just Like Flu brigade’s hands. Serves the govt well now they want everyone back at work and school too. Quite a difference from “many of you will lose loved ones before their time”. If Cummings can zip up and down the motorway just feeling a bit squiffy-eyed and nauseous then the rest of us need to man the fuck up and get back to work Hmm

ButteryPuffin · 26/05/2020 17:23

Ooh, pretty good from Peston there.

Do Cummings and Wakefield never use any childcare then? They do it all themselves? Odd given that they seem so clueless about caring for sick children.

mommydragon · 26/05/2020 17:23

Matt Hancock just shut Peston down....why is he justifying DC actions.
