This is Southend on sea today.

I’m not there posted on a Facebook group I’m part of.

I don't understand why Dominic Cummings being a dick has resulted in the general public being dicks.

Because some people are just stupid. Or selfish. There'll be a second wave in 2 weeks' time. Unfortunately, it won't be these guys who suffer - but their grannies and families.

It’s possible that many of them have already had Covid and are likely to be immune, so no risk to themselves or others.

But that isn't the reason - they are just stupid and selfish. Even if they are sure they've had it, they can still spread it to others who haven't.

People are really reaching to say its because of Cummings. People have been posting pictures like this for weeks.

It's ridiculous to blame DC for this. I live in a coastal town, it's been like this since exercise restrictions were lifted.

In BILs case they are drinking out of glasses, logo'd. It's take out as far as the beer garden. No real social distancing happening.

We've been getting take outs from our local pub for weeks... No hanging around, click and collect, 5 minute window of opportunity.

The people possess off at Cummings probably aren’t out in the streets. They’re quietly and determinedly visiting their family members.

The groups look fairly far apart in the Bournemouth webcam. And BJ did say sunbathing was allowed.

@frasersmummy I'm thinking about moving up! I disliked NS (on the basis I don't want Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 leaving us!!) but on Cv I really like her. I like that she takes the time to understand the science, own the decisions and be quite open about things. I like she's keen on keeping people alive. Better than the clowns down here!!

I don't even live in Scotland, I agree, it's ridiculous.

The problem is they've always got the argument 'ahhh, the reason the deaths are so low is BECAUSE we're being so strict!'

There's always someone somewhere who can utilise whatever is going on and use it for their own agenda because it's a nebulous situation where no one really knows and no one can really prove anything.

I've tried to see when and where these two photos were taken (pretty sure the Southend one surfaced last week) but I can't. Does anyone know how? If I download the image to my computer it says I took it today and although I've looked in Google Console I'm not clever enough to work out where to look.
