Aargh, iPlayer has just cut out for me!

vera99 · 25/05/2020 17:03

"I was in bad shape" so I drove 260 miles.

Fucking hell, someone take this man's license.

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2020 17:03

I've had the best part of a bottle of wine. Shall I drive to Newcastle to see how good my driving is?

effingterrified · 25/05/2020 17:03

Can't believe the 'we thought I would try driving to see if I could drive OK and just ended up in Barnard Castle on my wife's birthday, totally coincidentally'. Hmm

GrimmsFairytales · 25/05/2020 17:04

It didn't say you must stay at home in all circumstances

Err that is exactly what it said. It said if you or someone you live with have symptoms don't leave the house for any reason.

janet1267 · 25/05/2020 17:04

It's clear he is the person running the country, not the PM. I think he's more competent than Johnson, but it's worrying that someone who has not been elected has so much power. Who would have thought we would have an aide to the PM holding a press conference in the garden of No 10.

vera99 · 25/05/2020 17:04

Losing it big stylee now.

SouthWestmom · 25/05/2020 17:04

THANKYOU! there is no other guidance.

His body language has completely changed. He’s mad

itsgettingweird · 25/05/2020 17:04

Son was tested but negative.

MW wasn't tested. Could have had it and went to hospital with the child.

He picked them up from hospital. No taxis blah blah. Eg, he KNOWS during an investigation it would come out he'd been in his car.

wowfudge · 25/05/2020 17:04

You're not telling me that he couldn't have spoken to someone other than Boris when he was thinking of going up north. He's so arrogant.

Great start by Jason Groves.

JackiFazaki · 25/05/2020 17:04

Now and again, he forgets to keep that little victim crack in his voice going, and his normal voice kicks in.

vera99 · 25/05/2020 17:04

The country is fucking angry. I am always angry but Have upgraded that anger to fucking livid! Anybody got a rope ?

user1495884620 · 25/05/2020 17:05

Surely escaping the risk of harm means you can go out if the house is on fire or similar, not that your kid might be neglected by having to watch Peppa Pig non stop for a couple of days.

snowballer · 25/05/2020 17:05

FGS the LENGTHS this government is going to to save this man. It's absolutely unbelievable

Saucery · 25/05/2020 17:05

That is exactly what the guidance said! You do have to just sit there!

LifeMatters · 25/05/2020 17:05

I honestly feel sorry for him.
The press and people shouldn't have harassed him at his house. He has a kid for God's sake.

Before this press conference I thought he was smug however I feel sorry for him now.

vera99 · 25/05/2020 17:05

My wife was woried that my eyes couldnt sweat. In hindsight, I should have gone to specsavers. However, you cant rely on hindsight when driving, so I still believe I did the right thing.

SouthWestmom · 25/05/2020 17:06

Unfortunately I don't think that he has special enough circumstances to get away with this.

OP posts:
effingterrified · 25/05/2020 17:06

No! The rules do say exactly that you have to stay at home in all circumstances.

How does he think that is going to go down with all the thousands who had to miss attending family funerals, or miss saying goodbye to parents, children, siblings, in hospital??

itsgettingweird · 25/05/2020 17:06

So they didn't think she did actually have covid.

So the reason of travelling up to Durham so if he also cam down with it is utter bollocks.

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2020 17:06

I tripped up on the way to the car. I think it's fair to say my driving abilities aren't great ;)

1forsorrow · 25/05/2020 17:06

He's getting angry. Someone give him a poke and he'll lose it.

janet1267 · 25/05/2020 17:07

I think he's now struggling to remember the story.

SouthWestmom · 25/05/2020 17:07

Life

I feel sorry for him now but he should have released this earlier and said sorry.
