I'm sure which ever officer attended the address was advised to let the matter drop because of who it was as not in the public interest to pursue. Although, it blatantly is and was!!

No bother. In fact, at this rate, you had enough time for a poo aswell Grin

Roussette · 25/05/2020 16:30

What if he doesn't turn up??!

I think a jetpack has just been delivered to No.10 Grin

1forsorrow · 25/05/2020 16:30

Yes, gutless police officer whoever it was. Where I live, South Devon, a woman was sent home by police after a telling off for taking her dog for a walk in her one exercise outing a day, told she had a garden and to go and exercise the dog there. Talk about one rule for them........ The Newton Abbot MP complained about it, I can't remember her name.

Roussette · 25/05/2020 16:31

I'm just going to get my washing in.
That'll make it happen...

CrimsonCattery · 25/05/2020 16:31

Why did they wait till 4:01 to release the statement?

Saucery · 25/05/2020 16:31

They are reading this thread re outfit choice Shock

1forsorrow · 25/05/2020 16:31

@minou123 at this rate I could have had a wee, a poo, a shower and sorted out my hair, although that is pushing it considering I needed a haircut before lockdown.

Here he comes.

JackiFazaki · 25/05/2020 16:32

Phew!
Must see an unelected person making a statement from DS.
< Scrapes in at last minute.>

tiredvommachine · 25/05/2020 16:32

I'll happily identify myself as a police officer on here and trust me, I don't they would have had any discretion in regards to dealing with this incident. The incident would have been restricted so most officers /staff wouldn't have been able to view it and would have had duty insidious at least aware of this and giving the final write off to the job. Only speculation though, as it wasn't me! Grin

janet1267 · 25/05/2020 16:32

Oh dear. I actually feel sorry for him and I don't know why

NewAccountForCorona · 25/05/2020 16:33

He can't apologise. If he apologises he's admitting he broke guidelines/law, and so will have to resign.

His defense is that his child is very special (because it's his child not because of any SN) and therefore travelling while symptomatic is justified.

minou123 · 25/05/2020 16:33

Maybe the police shouldnt have released that statement, because now they look a bit gutless

They were prepared to bollock that dad for letting his kids play in his own front garden, yet not a dad for driving across the country with suspected covid 19?

Different forces, but no consistency.
Or one dad is in the elite and the other dad isn't?

1forsorrow · 25/05/2020 16:33

Not his normal cocky self.

GrimmsFairytales · 25/05/2020 16:34

Fucking hell BJ is doing the press conference today as well. Has he done 2 in a row before?

tootyfruitypickle · 25/05/2020 16:34

What’s the noise ?!!

Roussette · 25/05/2020 16:34

Phew, ran in with washng

What's that awful noise in the background

TruthTwisters · 25/05/2020 16:34

Perhaps he was ironing his shirt after all...

minou123 · 25/05/2020 16:35

Whose the no head with the trumpet?

AlovelybitofsquirrelJackie · 25/05/2020 16:35

I suspect someone has placed themselves at the end of Downing Street with a siren on purpose

minou123 · 25/05/2020 16:35

*nobhead

HatRack · 25/05/2020 16:35

Noise = airhorn from protester?

SouthWestmom · 25/05/2020 16:35

The regulations did not make that clear.

OP posts:
Roussette · 25/05/2020 16:36

Sorry this is pathetic.

Roussette · 25/05/2020 16:37

NO ONE should ever harrass anyone in their home but this is just a sob story isn't it..
