Not any more with Keir Starmer in the wings. Boris doesn’t stand a chance against an ex barrister. Looking forward to his demise.

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 24/05/2020 18:38

Do you know what? People will still vote for the Tories despite everything

Oh yes. A case of I'm better off so fuck everyone and everything else.

knittingaddict · 24/05/2020 18:40

I won't be voting for them. For various reasons I held my nose and voted for them in the last election. I would rather do the unthinkable and not vote, than keep them in power.

My daughter lost her new job over all this. She is a single parent. I'm tearful with impotent rage

I'm desperate for Keir Starmer to step up and be the man we need him to be.

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 24/05/2020 18:43

A brief gance at the history of the Tory Party shows it is entirely possible we shall have a new PM before the next election.

The Men in Suits are probably phoning round as we type.

stopcock · 24/05/2020 18:46

I cannot begin to explain the unadulterated rage I feel. Cummings can predict the development of his symptoms and is a-ok travelling hours for his mums birthday childcare, the parents of Ismail Mohamed Abdulwahab were not allowed at his bedside or funeral? It's fucking disgusting. I fail to see how anyone can defend this shower of shite!

Fedupwiththemedia · 24/05/2020 18:50

Interested in the silence of Labour Voters on Stephen Kinnock not being sacked during lockdown for visiting his father to wish him a happy birthday...

richdeniro · 24/05/2020 18:52

Do you know what? People will still vote for the Tories despite everything , including members of my own family!

Same here. Outrage on here, twitter, etc - but the average Boris voting brexiteer doesn't give a shit.

The Tories could physically do drive by shootings of every care home in the country and Labour still wouldn't get anywhere near beating them such is the state of this country and its politics.

The cult of Brexit has seen to that. Your average Tory looks up to the likes of Bojo and Cummings. They want authoritarian government, populism, etc.

user1495884620 · 24/05/2020 18:53

I've been able to vote for over a quarter of a century and have never written to my MP until now. Blood. Boiling.

ploopmoop · 24/05/2020 18:55

I think they have made a big mistake here & will turn a lot of Tory voters off. An apology would have not likely brushed it away but it's the sheer arrogance which is going to piss people off.

The80sweregreat · 24/05/2020 18:55

Blimey even Nigel farage defended Steve Kinnock today and before. He sat at the end of the drive and went home again! He may have broken rules but not on this scale.
I can see why people bring this up but Cummings made the rules then broke them!
It makes the situation even worse I feel.

stopcock · 24/05/2020 18:56

Interested in the silence of Labour Voters on Stephen Kinnock not being sacked during lockdown for visiting his father to wish him a happy birthday Did he knowlingly travel with C19 syptoms? No

The80sweregreat · 24/05/2020 18:57

That black notebook that Dom waves around in people's faces.
What is in that? He really does make my blood boil to dangerous levels.

GrimmsFairytales · 24/05/2020 18:59

That black notebook that Dom waves around in people's faces. What is in that?

A list of why he's untouchable, and the rules don't apply to him.

In other words, the skeletons in the closet that others want him to keep hidden.

ploopmoop · 24/05/2020 19:01

Daily Mail readers aren't happy

WineHooray · 24/05/2020 19:03

Raging ..... AngryAngryAngry

One rule for the elite

Another rule for us plebs.

I've had enough ...

1forsorrow · 24/05/2020 19:03

Same here. Outrage on here, twitter, etc - but the average Boris voting brexiteer doesn't give a shit. I think Steve Baker could be described as a brexiteer and he isn't back Boris on this one.

user1495884620 · 24/05/2020 19:03

I wonder if they are hoping that some concrete evidence comes out about the bluebell wood. The trip to Barnard Castle seems pretty solid but, abhorrent as it is, can probably be fudged as being technically in the rules of after 14 days of isolation and travelling to exercise. If the bluebell woods can be proven then that is a clear breach of lockdown that he is unlikely to be able to wriggle out of and will give them an excuse to sack him.

DuncinToffee · 24/05/2020 19:05

fedupwiththemedia and Jenrick?

HelloMissus · 24/05/2020 19:06

The cabinet have totally misjudged public opinion on this.
Imagine Dominic Cummings bring the hill on which you’re willing to die 😂😂😂

Taking food and pressies to an over 70 on their birthday
sitting 2m away at all times
v
dragging a 4 year old up and down the country while ill
and then dancing to abba in the garden of OAPs before going to the beach
Hmm

HelloMissus · 24/05/2020 19:09

Stephen Kinock is not the architect of lock down.

megladon2020 · 24/05/2020 19:10

At the end of the day the government had one rule for us and another for them. Us 'plebs' were told to toe the line, sAve nhs etc and the government relied on us to be obedient servants whilst they did what they want. He needs to resign or be sacked. Cue lots of people who were arrested/ cautioned for doing what he did getting off with it- citing his shit show.

cantdothisnow1 · 24/05/2020 19:13

There is no comparison to the Stephen Kinnock because:

He apologised and did not claim he acted with integrity.
He did not wilfully spread the virus over 250 miles up country.
He was not the PM's chief political advisor who was behind the Stay at Home message which was CLEAR at the point in time.
