Is the Pope Catholic?

OnTheMoors · 21/05/2020 12:03

No plans. Staying at home and I exercising locally. Using common sense

olivehater · 21/05/2020 12:06

We drive to places reasonably local for a different walk in the week and tend to stay more local at the weekend. So may treat it more like a weekend and stay more local. Or get up super early or go in the evening if we do fancy going to the beach one day.

Spied · 21/05/2020 12:07

I feel like it's been one long half term these last few weeks. Tbh next week is going to be no different for me or for many people.
Dp's weeks holiday from work was cancelled and most keyworker roles don't have a holiday at half term.
All the beauty spots will be busy as they are now.
I'll be entertaining the kids in the same ways as I have these last few weeks.

TheWorstShed · 21/05/2020 12:09

No change for us, but will ease up on the school work - just keep reading ticking over. Not going anywhere.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 21/05/2020 12:13

Plans? We're in Wales so still on a severe lockdown. The only easing off we have had is that you are allowed to go out more than once a day for exercise but we have to stay local. And garden centres are open. The library could open but hasn't. And the recycling centre might open on the Tuesday.

Exciting times. We had to cancel our cottage holiday to Devon.

Igotta · 21/05/2020 12:14

Hmmm not sure. Think we might have a few days in for a change Grin

Mamimawr · 21/05/2020 12:16

Staying at home. We are still on lockdown in Wales. No one is allowed to travel in or to Wales to exercise. Fines of up to £1200.

BeyondDreamsOfBeyondFourWalls · 21/05/2020 12:17

Might go out in my garden, if the weather is nice.
(also in Wales, and shielding even if I wasn't)

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 21/05/2020 12:18

The usual. Some home learning, daily walk/exercise. Playing games. DH will be at work, so just business as usual.

DH had last week off, so home learning did take a bit of a back burner then.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 21/05/2020 12:20

Working

ZetaPuppis · 21/05/2020 12:20

I would absolutely love to take the kids to a beach (1.5 hours away). We’ve done that every year in May half term over the last few years and it’s always been quiet.
I don’t think it will be the same this year besides I don’t think the toilet facilities will be open either.

AnneBullen · 21/05/2020 12:21

We’ll go for a FUCKING CUNTING ARSE WALK.

Ahem.

Might go to the local bike track. Had hoped the PYO farm was open but no. Beach seems not to be sensible.

Have a fire in the garden round the fire pit. Watch films, play games, paddling pool. WALK.

HairyFloppins · 21/05/2020 12:22

We are decorating the house ready to put up for sale. I have hated my neighbours during lockdown and can't stand to look at them any longer.

I shall be avoiding all public places.

NotAnotherUserNumber · 21/05/2020 12:23

I imagine I will be in my flat feeling hot and trying to work. DH will be working nonstop as is usual now. All the days, weeks and months just blend into one now Sad

smokescreen · 21/05/2020 12:24

Same as always. Stay home. Dd has Common Entrance the week after half term so lots of revising

ProseccoBubbleFantasies · 21/05/2020 12:27

Not working. Whoop whoop 🥳

pamplemoussed · 21/05/2020 12:29

Work from home all day long , hoping to keep proving I am vital and valuable so I don’t lose my job. Ditto for Dh. Teens can hangout in the garden or anywhere other than near my desk whilst they raid the fridge like locusts and binge watch tv shows. At 6pm I will optimistically suggest a bike ride or a walk and they will declare they are ‘too tired.’

Slurpy · 21/05/2020 12:36

Might go to the river, maybe the park. Might sneak into our local NT place (closed but 'leaky' and 5 mins from home). I'm in Wales. The call of the beaches is strong but we would have to drive, so can't and won't.

CurlyEndive · 21/05/2020 12:38

We were supposed to be going to Norfolk for the week - that's cancelled. DH and I will probably take a couple of days off each rather than the whole week, and save annual leave for the summer. We'll just be chilling out at home I guess. Sigh.

trilbydoll · 21/05/2020 12:40

DH is off and wasn't allowed to cancel his holiday so I might mix things up and go into the office for a change of scene if I'm feeling rebellious. Our homeschooling has hit a bit of a wall this week so maybe we should call this half term and crack the whip next week!

Xmasbaby11 · 21/05/2020 12:40

Normal week for us,both working. Monday we will have off though .. usual..play in garden, maybe make a nice meal or cake! Maybe go to a local park.

Iwillhavetea · 21/05/2020 12:52

I don't mean to sound negative. But you will always get idiots not listening. But alot of people just want to get out after two months for excercise. We will be taking our kids to the woods Saturday or Sunday. I plan on packing a picnic and sitting on the grass and relaxing.

I don't like posts just presuming everyone will flock to beaches like idiots. As long as they stay two meters apart and don't poo and pee on the beach then it's ok as far as I'm concerned. We can't get paranoid or we will never go out again. Most places are shut so I don't see the appeal of driving to a beach. No access to toilets, arcades or gift shops does not sound fun.

CrowdedHouseinQuarantine · 21/05/2020 12:59

are the schools closed for key workers next week? out of interest

sarahC40 · 21/05/2020 13:03

Volunteers will be in for our school (I did Easter).
