I have a lot of american friends on FB and have seen a few of them tagged in posts like this. I think its either another anti lockdown protest or the tin foil hat brigade again.

One of my US friends was out every single night after they reopened the bars, despite his GF having been hospitalised with CV19 and him not having antibodies or a + test himself. They really are going nuts in the southern states especially, where he is, because they seem to think that any restriction on their God given right to do exactly whatever the hell they please is a conspiracy by the government to keep them down.

My usually very switched on friend keeps sending my YouTube video’s from Dr Rashid Buttar, an American doctor anti-Covid conspiracy theorist. A complete nut job if you ask me. Not to mention he’s been sued for defrauding terminally ill cancer patients FFS. She thinks he’s the second coming, she says, she’s “awake and completely receptive”.

I think unscrupulous people will always play to peoples fears during major moments of upheaval.

GailHugger, SiL would be very grateful for any help getting started. She's got SPD, is massive and is, unsurprisingly, worried about going into hospital.
