I was ill with covid symptoms within the last 30 days so can't take part. I can't donate plasma either due to a previous transfusion. Exasperating.

No. Not as a single parent with type 1 diabetes. I heard on radio 4 they need 5000 to volunteer.

My area isn't covered but I'd consider it. vaccine development is very mature nowadays so I wouldn't have much of a safety concern. I've had loads of vaccines from traveling and working in a lab and never had an adverse reaction. I get the flu jab every year. My only concerns really would be efficacy. But I'd really like some antibodies to this virus so I'd consider it if I could.

No, I'm 70 so too old and if I wasn't too old, I imagine the risks would outweight the benefits. There are always great financial inducements for drug trials but having worked in the NHS for years, I would not be happy about anyone going on a trial. At the same time, I realise vaccines have to be properly tried out. It's a no win situation in some ways, we can only hope the eventual outcome is a good one.

We've greatly benefitted from all the vaccines that have been developed, I and my family had all that was available. Whether or not I'd have a C-19 vaccine if and when approved remains to be seen. I'll weigh it up when the time comes.
