Or make an effort to stay dressed once a week??

I hate being seen by non-family in nightwear. Grim.

WhenTwoBecomeThree · 16/04/2020 19:23

I'll be clapping in my jymas! I tend to put them on ASAP (currently on mat leave), how do people relax in 'day' clothes, jeans etc?! By the time I go up to bed I'm fully ready to just dive in so couldn't imagine having to get changed before I climb in at whatever time

Dollywilde · 16/04/2020 19:24

I clap, although frankly I think people can make far more difference for the NHS by not voting for the Conservative party who have cut the service to the bone and deserve a significant amount of blame for the amount of pressure our hard working HCPs are under.

I am also not wearing PJs as I’m working as usual and that involves a lot of video calls, plus I prefer to make a bit of an effort, my mental health takes a real slide if I don’t push myself to get dressed and run a brush through my hair.

NaomiFromMilkShake · 16/04/2020 19:28

I clap and I keep my clothes on. Grin

BatshitCrazyWoman · 16/04/2020 19:35

I don't own pyjamas and I don't clap.

Ginfordinner · 16/04/2020 19:50

@FOTTFSOFTFOASM, yes we are officially old Grin

@WhenTwoBecomeThree my day clothes are as comfortable as a pair of PJs. As I posted earlier, I am not the most sartorial dresser when at home. I am currently sat in a pair of comfy jeggings, a T-shirt and a fleece, and yes, I am wearing a bra (I don't find them uncomfortable in the slightest)

dudsville · 16/04/2020 19:53

What's wrong with pjs at 8pm? I'm in bed ready to fall asleep once the clapping is done. We're don't all have the same schedule. Clap in whatever you're wearing! I'm wearing my bed!

FOTTFSOFTFOASM · 16/04/2020 20:13

to fellow Oldie Ginfordinner.

I don't need a bra, as I am so small of chest.

I am not sure I ever 'relaxed' when the DC were small. We didn't (still don't) have a TV, so maybe relaxing is a thing, too.

Mustbethewine · 16/04/2020 20:23

Some days I don't change from my Pjs 😅

Flaxmeadow · 16/04/2020 20:25

I don't wear pyjamas for the clap thingy because there might a local newspaper taking snaps in the neighbourhood Grin

But seriously. Unless I have visitors, I dont wear outdoor clothes inside, even before the crisis. But especially so now. I quarantine outdoor clothes in the hallway and try not to mix up clothes, shoes, bag. I don't take my mobile phone out now either. Just what I need

Just like to feel comfy. Get in from work, have a shower then sitting on the couch watching a film or whatever. In cotton pyjama bottoms or tracky bottoms. Then a cotton slip for bed Like someone said earlier, why would you want to lounge around in jeans, or even a suit or work uniform

Angel2702 · 16/04/2020 20:27

No I don’t put pjs on until I have bathed and getting ready for bed so never have them on by 8.

Pieceofpurplesky · 16/04/2020 20:34

I change in to PJs and bra off when I get in. Then shower and go to be naked. Helps me unwind. I don't care what anyone else does - as long as they are happy.

I clapped tonight in a summer tee shirt dress that is about a million years old and no bra. I did where knickers though and flip flips.

Nobody got clear enough to see.

thenightsky · 16/04/2020 20:38

Its always freezing here on Thursday nights for some reason. We are all out in boots, scarves and our warmest big winter jackets with gloves. Brrr.

Myfriendanxiety · 16/04/2020 20:43

I usually shower at 7pm when I’ve put the DC to bed and so get into my pj’s then. I’m in bed for 9pm as the little ones get up early.

I’ve been stood on the doorstep tonight in my dressing gown.

Nochangeplease · 16/04/2020 20:44

I think the whole pyjamas debate comes down to what people wear in the day time. I only really wear skinny jeans and they pretty much come off as soon as I walk through the front door, as does my top as it feels dirty if I’ve been at work. I’ll change straight into either pyjamas or tracksuit and t shirt. Then I’ll have a bath around 7/8 and get a fresh set on for sleeping in.
If I wore comfy clothes I might keep them on until I had my bath at 8. Sometimes that happens in the summer when wearing loose clothes.
But generally it’s jeans, and I’m out of my daytime clothes when I walk through the door at 4pm.

lightlypoached · 16/04/2020 20:45

yes, just did. had an early bath after a 10 hour day. drinking wine in PJs now. Grin

DuchessMinnie · 16/04/2020 20:46

I clap in my PJs. I leave the house at 5.30 every day to work in a hospital so when I get home it's shower and PJs. My neighbours can judge, I don't care :)

MangoesAreMyFavourite · 16/04/2020 20:54

Which one's? My day PJ's or night one's OP? Wink

PennyArrowBar · 16/04/2020 21:16

Which one's? My day PJ's or night one's OP?

This Grin besides, all clothes are PJs if they're (relatively clean and) comfy enough.

RainbowBalloon · 16/04/2020 22:53

I love in harem pants and t shirts atm so I don’t take them off day or night until they smell:are dirty. I do clap though Grin

Destinysdaughter · 16/04/2020 22:56

I just clap from my open bedroom window so wear whatever I've been wearing for the last 24, 48 hours? Who knows, time has no meaning to me any more...

YinMnBlue · 16/04/2020 22:59

I have done two video conferencing events for work today, wearing my pyjama bottoms.

(Not just my pyjama bottoms. I’m not that bad yet)

BrooHaHa · 16/04/2020 23:02

I don't clap. Nor do I wear pyjamas until bedtime (I used to do that before lockdown though- come in from work, change into pyjamas).

Pieceofpurplesky · 16/04/2020 23:50

I also did a group call with PJ bottoms on. Somehow it made me feel more rebellious and stand up for myself more! And they were Christmas ones

Camomila · 17/04/2020 08:08

We clap from the windows (block of flats). We're all usually in PJs as we start doing the bedtime routine for DS1 straight after clapping and I'd rather be in pjs to lie in bed and read 1000 stories.
