Do you feel naive at all? Maybe the wrong word..

My DH wasn't concerned and was one of the 'it's the flu' and he is now absolutely petrified of what it may do to his parents.

I was nowhere near as concerned as I am now. I was pretty naive in thinking they would be able to stop it like the Ebola outbreak Blush

FliesandPies- there is going to be a global recession/depression regardless. It is not unreasonable to try to buy some time until more is known, and nobody is arguing that the world should remain on tight lockdown forever, or even until there is a vaccine, so I don’t really understand why some people persist in painting this as some kind of black and white issue where lockdown=bad and virus=virtually harmless in the big scheme of things. The only certainty is that the virus is harmful and that it is not actually possible to pretend it doesn’t exist and carry on with our lives as normal.

And it really is ridiculous to believe there would be no global recession whatsoever if all countries just stopped their lockdowns now and went straight back to attempting business as usual.
