Why aren't we disinfecting our streets?

Like in China, Iran and other countries affected by the virus

I've seen lots of footage of the streets, buildings, cars, doorways, shops, roads etc - being sprayed and disinfected

Why isn't the UK doing any of this?

Because it keeps stupid people happy but really has little effect.... the virus is not hovering around on street corners waiting to jump out onto unsuspecting passersby....!

It's a big show - look we are disinfecting. Seriously though unless everyone is infected rushing around coughing all over the streets/roads why do it. The virus coughed onto the street wouldn't last so long and how many people walk on their hands or lick the roads anyway?

@SnoozyLou

You are right of course... imagine the cost for disinfecting all the streets over the country - what a waste of money and very ineffective

I would say it has zero chance of stopping the virus from being passed on.

People don't roll around the street and lick it do they? And to labour a point I've made a lot of times, it is not airborne.

So no need.
