Sainsburys Delivery AWBU?

We finally and thankfully managed to book a delivery slot with Sainsburys as we are on the govt’s vulnerable list.

We are feeling Very nervous though as we are isolating for the whole 12 weeks, which we have adhered to very strictly since the govts advice. And now with this delivery coming soon we don’t know how to stay safe from the driver as Sainsbury’s don't do bags anymore.

Our shopping has lots of bits and we are both disabled and can carry small bits at a time only. Obviously we won’t be inviting the driver in, but how do we collect our shopping off the driver - are they leaving crates with customers? Or have they started up with the bags again? Anyone with any experience of this, please let us know. Thank you.

Btw we have called their lines every day since ordering and understandably no one has answered the call or replied to our email. We checked the online delivery FAQ’s too - no information there

Also on the delivery we specified we are self isolating.

Thanks for reading

Our Sainsbury’s deliveries have all been arriving in bags.

We’ve just had our Sainsbury’s delivery and, as per the last few deliveries, everything was bagged.

The driver rings us to tell us he’s arrived and he then leaves the bags outside our door before returning to his vehicle.

DH then opens the door, places the bags into our plastic crates before taking them to the kitchen to unpack.

Tesco have been doing exactly the same - bags left at the door, with driver returning to his van before we open and retrieve.
