Easyjet - cancellation

I am one of many battling to get through to talk to someone at Easyjet to get refund due to cancellation. Moving flight dates or claiming voucher will not work for us. Apparently issuing refunds but only via telephone. I must have tried to get through a hundred times over the past week.

My question is my flights were due to fly tomorrow. Is it critical that you get the cancellation before this date or will they continue to refund after this date has passed! Worried about them going bust in meantime too.

Anyone had any positive stories of refunds?

@definitelygc I went to my credit card statement online and disputed the payment. Said i didn’t receive the service and got a refund.

@definitelygc if you can’t do it online, call your credit card. I also did it when Thomas Cook and Monarch went bust. Yes I am unlucky !

Money is back in my credit card this morning after having the email from EasyJet yesterday.

I idea if it happened because of sending the form to CC company, email to exec office at Easy Jet or the Twitter DMs. But something finally worked and it's been refunded overnight.

I got a refund via telephone. I kept trying and shockingly got through on day 2 just after 9am. I had to listen to about 10 minutes of auto messages about rebooking flights or claiming a voucher but when I did get through they processed it quickly. Money was back on our credit card 2 days later

If you booked via cc, call the company. We had to do this with BA who said voucher only 🙄

From an EJ message to me on Twitter:
If you prefer a refund, email your request to [email protected]. As soon as your refund is processed, we will send you an email confirmation. It is extremely important that you enter the following information in the subject line of the email, in the same format as shown below. This will ensure we can process your request quickly. If you have more than one booking reference, please submit separate requests.

-Subject Line: Booking Reference/Departure Date/EN

-Example: ABC1D2E/16042020/EN

This is what I did, and I've had an email saying I was getting a refund - not in my bank account yet though! Note this needs to be for an actually cancelled flight.

Call 01617749861, option 1. Just got through straight away and got a confirmation email that my refund will be processed within 5 days.

I’ve just sent email, thanks.
I had previously emailed customer service and ceo but reply was to use telephone lines.
I have already opened a case with my holiday insurance. They told me to try a refund first.
Next step will be credit card.

Easyjet have just responded to my tweet asking for a refund. They've referred me to this page bit.ly/34otD53. Thank goodness I noted our booking reference as all details of the bookings have gone from the app now.

I've completed the form and it says 28-90 days possible processing time.

Couple of hours for them to refund?
Our flights to Turkey 3/4 were cancelled and I've heard nothing since

No! I spend days on twitter but once I got that refund email address and send it off, it was two or three days till I got an email saying they had refunded me, then I checked my account for the next two days and then it appeared.
