Good: Arnold Swarzenegger -self isolating with his miniature donkey and donating $1m for ppe
Joe Wicks -the nation's PE teacher.

Bad: Dominic Cummings- legging it with the Downing St toilet rolls and now holed up in his bunker self isolating.
Alok Sharma- I just read an article saying the government are using him to bore people into stop watching the daily update and asking all those awkward questions about testing.

OP posts:

Cunts have warmth and depth, so definitely not Philip Green

TheDrsDocMartens · 02/04/2020 21:10

Lots of local breweries and distilleries have been making hand wash. Local bottle company provided containers.

Bad: people who think social distancing involves being a tourist, people who steal hand gel from hospitals

HolaWeenie · 02/04/2020 22:43

Good - Dolly Parton, Connor McGregor, Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Barcelona football club. Roger Federer, Angelina Jolie.

Bad - Tottenham Hotspur. Kirstie Alsopp.

@LightACandleHoney
I could have written your posts about the schools!
My kids school has been absolutely outstanding with this. They are secondary and have uploaded entire days worth of lessons for the kids and have virtual lessons for them. My kids have never not known what they're supposed to be doing and it's taken so much of the worry out of this unprecedented situation.
The school I work at, not so much. I would be so stressed if I was one of our parents. I have wondered though if perhaps secondary schools have found it easier to adapt as the pupils are more mature and often do a lot of their homework through on online system anyway?

LightACandleHoney · 02/04/2020 23:06

@duckme my kids’ schools are one primary and two different secondaries. They haven’t all taken the same approach (one secondary is setting a lot more work than the other) but their communication has been incredible from day 1 and they are all focusing on mental health/pastoral care in a huge way.

I work in a secondary. Like you, I’d hate to be a parent at my school - the response has been woeful from day 1.

Aceventura20000 · 02/04/2020 23:25

Mookie81 · 03/04/2020 00:16

Why are Tottenham bad?

PickAChew · 03/04/2020 00:19

Bad = Sainsburys. Relying on the queues outside their doors with no actual communication.

PickAChew · 03/04/2020 00:19

Very bad = phillipino president. Despot.

huglessduglas · 03/04/2020 00:42

My kids schools particularly my oldest sons - outing but Mrs Huddleston is amazing!!!
Oti Mabuse for her dance classes

All the many local shops and businesses who are quickly adapting to keep the food supply chain running and making life a wee bit easier
All those on the frontline

UYScuti · 03/04/2020 01:20

Good: The people who do the real work 👍👍👍
Bad: the people who were playing fast and loose👎👎👎

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 03/04/2020 01:24

My kids who are alternating roles on a daily basis just to keep me on my toes!

Welcometothequiz · 03/04/2020 06:33

Agree with so many.

Bad - Bolsinaro and Belarus president. Trump obvs, Tim Martin and Sports Direct
Good - are all the lowly paid workers upon whom the world depends

Piggywaspushed · 03/04/2020 06:50

It's not fair to tar all footballers themselves as bad. Marcus Rashford has done wonderful things as has Gary Neville. Am ashamed of Tottenham though.

Otherwise

Good : Nicola Sturgeon ; Refuse workers ; Mike Coupe of Sainsbury's keeps messing up but keeps trying to do the Right Thing. the NHS and public sector workers in general ; the woman from Sky News who asks awkward questions at the press 'conferences' ; Rosina Allin Khan

Bad : Dominic Cummings
Boris Johnson (he doesn't seem to question anything anyone else tells him and parrots out slogans)
Trump
Gove
Gavin Wiiliamson ( Where IS he?)
The construction industry
Anyone who keeps making their workers go in to non essential roles

Piggywaspushed · 03/04/2020 06:52

How could I forget
??
BAD VERY BAD : Sykes Cottages.

Sexnotgender · 03/04/2020 06:56

@SuperlativeScrubs my DH mentioned the other day that Trump would start a war once this was over as it’s the best way to kickstart the economy!

purple12 · 03/04/2020 07:03

Good
I am surprised positively by Matt Hancock (I am an NHS social worker so struggle to say anything positive about the government generally) and on that matter, Jonathan Ashworth has been sensible in opposition.
Social care- I really really really hope this leads to a better understanding of the skilled work done in social care, particularly home care and residential care workers.

Obviously those doctors and nurses and health care assistants and occupational therapists and psychologists etc. I see them doing amazing things every day.

Bad

  • Johnson is no leader
emsiewill · 03/04/2020 07:14

Can't believe no-one has mentioned Gareth Malone on the good list. He's keeping up the spirits of over 100,000 people with his daily choir rehearsals. A real feel good half hour every day.

Also on my good list is my gym which is providing a regular timetable of live streamed classes for its members, but has frozen payments until it is open again.

Ginfordinner · 03/04/2020 07:19

To add to the above on the good side - the virtual pub quizzes on YouTube that keep us entertained of an evening.

Ferfooksek · 03/04/2020 07:22

Bad- labour voters not giving the government the credit they deserve just because it’s Tory. They are doing very well in the circumstances. All this Tory bashing just shows your intellect

ivykaty44 · 03/04/2020 07:29

Ffs labour voters can’t give Tory government credit for sitting on report for 3 years and ignoring findings, the torrid knew 3 years ago there weren’t enough ventilators

ivykaty44 · 03/04/2020 07:40

Even the telegraph reported on the ignored report www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/03/28/exercise-cygnus-uncovered-pandemic-warnings-buried-government/ to question others intellect over this shows you in a certain light

Piggywaspushed · 03/04/2020 07:46

Even the Daily Mail is criticising the government!!

Iknewyouwerewaitingforme · 03/04/2020 07:51

Good- Burberry for funding research into a single-dose vaccine developed by the University of Oxford.

For using its global supply chain to fast track the delivery of over 100,000 surgical masks for use by NHS workers.
Burberry is also repurposing its Yorkshire trench coat factory to make non-surgical gowns and masks for patients.

Bad- Gal Gadot (had never even heard of her before this, now I only know her for being a smug, condescending, narcissistic idiot) and all the fellow fools who appeared in her stupid Imagine video.
