My dad has been taken to the hospital

Don't know for sure if its corona but I expect he will be tested now but I'm very worried, he has heart health problems so isn't healthy to begin with but now his oxygen sat levels are low so they've taken him in.

Just need a hand hold I suppose. I have to find the positives here, at least its before the peak so there are beds.

Thanks all. No change this morning but they've discovered a secondary infection, fungal, that they think has been hindering progress so now they are treating that so hopefully there will be more improvement when that's been cured.

It’s good news that he’s still fighting. Hopefully once the antibiotics kick in for the other infection he will start improving. Sending you a virtual hug your being very strong and he would be so proud how well your coping 💐

My friends mum had aspergillus and when they cleared that she was much improved (not Covid related but it obviously wasn't helping her chest infection)

Waiting to hear from my mum. She's usually called the hospital by now but she hasn't messaged me yet. Hoping that's not a bad sign and she'd just busy this morning.

When my grandad was in it sometimes took a while to have someone answer the phone.

No change but they're going to try reducing the oxygen and he's on a constant infusion of antifungal meds so I expect they will start to impact things soon enough.

They've reduced his oxygen to 40% (it was on 50% before, they then reduced to 45% and now 40%) and they're hoping to reduce sedation so it sounds like he really is fighting this :)
