Don't know for sure if its corona but I expect he will be tested now but I'm very worried, he has heart health problems so isn't healthy to begin with but now his oxygen sat levels are low so they've taken him in.

Just need a hand hold I suppose. I have to find the positives here, at least its before the peak so there are beds.

When this is all over and you can talk to him properly you must tell him there were a load of strangers on the internet all rooting for him, even my boyfriend asks after him Grin

nearlynermal · 30/04/2020 20:36

OP, your poor dad. So thrilled that he's coming through this. Sending wishes to you all Thanks

Rosieposy4 · 30/04/2020 20:41

So pleased he has pulled through

FrangipaniBlue · 30/04/2020 21:04

Hi @Natsku my Dad was taken to hospital around a week after yours but was ventilated at the same time, so I've been watching this thread from the early days but haven't commented.

Sadly my Dad didn't pull through, but you have no idea how absolutely over the moon happy I am for you that your Dad is well on the road to recovery - give him a great big squeezy hug first chance you get!!!

Chuffed to bits for you SmileThanks

Natsku · 30/04/2020 22:04

Oh I'm so so sorry @FrangipaniBlue How are you holding up?

@BoreOfWhabylon As far as my mum understands it we're not allowed to send a dvd player in, we already have one that works without a tv but it seems we can't send it so the nurses are getting him a tv instead

@MargotEmin I shall definitely tell him that strangers on the internet were rooting for him

Good days and bad days @Natsku and still a bit in shock, it won't feel real I don't think until all the lock down restrictions are lifted.

I really mean it though, I am so pleased for you and your family, this last 10 days I kept coming back to check this thread and was rooting was your Dad Smile

and thank you @NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite

Natsku · 01/05/2020 08:08

I hope you will be able to hold a memorial for him when lockdown is over and its safe to do so

frangipani I am so sorry for your loss. How very kind and thoughtful of you to get in touch with Natsku.

Natsku · 05/05/2020 17:30

He's fully off ventilation now, they took out the trach tube. If he does well he can go to a normal ward in a couple of days.

Natsku · 05/05/2020 20:34

He even stood up today! Lots of way to go though with physio. He's well enough to moan about things so that's a good sign.

He's been moved to a normal covid ward now so hopefully I'll be able to video call him when he feels up to it as he'll have his devices back.

NewAccountForCorona · 14/05/2020 09:54

Hi Natsku, I just saw you on another thread and wondered how your dad was doing now?

Natsku · 16/05/2020 21:32

@NewAccountForCorona

He's doing well thanks, he's starting to walk a few steps with a frame, and is eating pureed food. They've also put him in a side room because the ward was too noisy for him, which is very nice of them, and mum was able to drop off some of his electronics to ease his boredom.

Natsku · 20/05/2020 19:13

My mum was able to see my dad in person for the first time since the 26th of March! He's doing well with physio and he was smiling and looking cheerful in the picture my mum got.
