Re hair, make up, clothes? Or is everyday a pyjama day?

OP posts:
KipperTheFrog · 26/03/2020 17:04

Showered and dressed. No make up, and glasses rather than contact lenses. Want to keep as much of a “normal” routine for DD’s as possible

cakewench · 26/03/2020 17:06

Up and dressed every day (I shower later in the day, it's just my habit, and yes I'm still doing that). I'm wearing very comfy clothes though, casual leggings and loose jumpers.

No makeup. Still did my nails, though, because I see those Grin

@Eckhart

Lol, it’s fine - it is funny but it’s true. I’ve spent years obsessing about my hair, constantly plucking at my skin so I’m taking this time to accept myself as I am. I feel like an experiment.

Eckhart · 26/03/2020 23:21

@CaptainMarvelDanvers I salute you! We are all walking experiments, with our individual quirks. Would that we were all brave enough to let this be.

BestZebbie · 27/03/2020 09:17

I’m homeschooling as if it was school to give us a structure to the day, so my son wears school uniform and I wear teacher-appropriate office clothes. We don’t bother with shoes unless we are going into the garden though....

Frenchfancy · 27/03/2020 09:23

You're making the dcs wear a school uniform!!

doodleygirl · 27/03/2020 09:27

I am wearing gym clothes all day as I am doing an early morning work out, lunch and evening, hair in plaits and no make up. Its the only positive about this awful time.

Most of my colleagues are the same.

My work productivity is the same.

ByAppointmentTo · 27/03/2020 09:36

@BestZebbie Really?!

I'm maintaining normal standards of personal hygiene, never normally wear make up. Comfy clothes and no bra! 😀

triedandtestedteacher · 27/03/2020 09:44

I have to do the whole thing because I'm quite ugly but I'm minus the eyelashes which is not a good look.

LesLavandes · 27/03/2020 10:02

The same as most of you. Up, showered and into joggers and a t shirt. Hair is getting unruly so have been staring at my teens baseball caps and even tried one on...😂

No makeup

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 27/03/2020 10:03

Yes.

I work from home and I feel much better when I’m dressed nicely and have some makeup on.

Having said that, my hair is a mess.

BiddyPop · 27/03/2020 10:09

Dressed almost as if going to work (my personal winter "uniform" of an M&S ribbed polo neck jumper, different colours, but jeans rather than black trousers). But no necklace (normally wear one). No makeup (not that common but occasionally). Hair brushed.

Was wearing slippers but now have shoes on.

Have plans for a proper shower/hairwash and facemask tonight.

MoltoAgitato · 27/03/2020 15:09

DH and DS were due haircuts before we had to self isolate and that ain’t going to happen anytime soon. They’ll look a right state soon!

Mysocalledlifexx · 27/03/2020 15:15

Im still doing my normal hair make up and clothes on no pj days at all. I think its best to keep doing what u can like u would normally do as we will end up getting lazy. I have 4 children at home 1 is a baby so we have to keep a normal day for them.

Womenwotlunch · 27/03/2020 15:41

Get up at 5:30 am ( I have always been an early riser) , have a shower , brush my hair. Change into tracksuit bottoms and t shirt. Haven’t worn any makeup ( usually wear a full face) for three days.
Do a bit of basic cleaning then start work at 8 am ( currently WFH).
In the evening I exercise for 45 mins and then shower

BestZebbie · 27/03/2020 23:50

...I'm in touch with about four other families who are wearing school uniform still (though tbf, about 20 who are not). The idea is to only change things that have to be changed due to circumstances and keep as much of the rest the same as you can.
