Hi all, new thread as we'd neared the end of the other.

I thought it might be useful to list symptoms we are having / have had:

Day 1 - Diarrhea (mild), slight aches and pains
Day 2 - Flu like symptons, achey joints, fatigue, chills, slight cough, slight chest discomfort, upper back ache
Day 3 - Flu like symptons, achey joings, fatigue, chills, slight cough but felt better than Day 3
Day 4 - Perked up, still a slight cough but more energetic, chest 'ache'
Day 5 - Back to flu like symptoms, burning lungs sensation and ache around bra line began, upper back ache
Day 6 - Pains in chest area (intermittent), cough, fever, very heavy achey chest, trouble sleeping, bit breathless, can't lie on my back as painful
Day 7 - Increase of Day 7 symptoms, pains got sharper in chest
Day 8 - Same as day 7, fever, breathless, can't lie on my back
Day 9 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing
Day 10 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing, sore boobs
Day 11 - No fever, felt a bit better, mild chest ache, slight cough
Day 12 - today, exhausted, no fever, chest easing

Useful thank you

SubordinateThatClause · 24/03/2020 20:57

Hope you're all ok. Do you mind me asking if any of you are over 50?

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 21:04

Yes 53

LolaLollypop · 24/03/2020 21:12

Sorry haven't RTWT but wondered if anyone suspects they've had a mild form of CV? I've had a sore throat for about a week, dry non productive cough, achey back (top and lower back) which I've put down to breastfeeding a newborn but am wondering if it's a symptom. Very mild tight chest but no problems with breathing.
My DD has had what I would normally put down as a bad cold - green snot, chest phlegmy cough. Neither of us have had a fever.
Likely to be CV or just a usual cold?

tempestterra · 24/03/2020 21:21

dandy thank you for posting the link, I've just started. I'm guessing they are looking at a snapshot as it still misses a lot potential symptoms. But I've signed up and if it helps research in some way then that's all good!

TigerJoy · 24/03/2020 21:28

I'm so glad to have found this! I'm day 3 or so of possible covid19 after a few days before that feeling really really crummy.

Got worried on sunday when my blood oxygen saturation went down to 91% and I developed a fever.

My symptoms so far v similar to OP so I won't repeat. Except I also have a crashing headache. And the chest pain is worse than the cough.

I'm so fed up of not being able to do anything. Finally dragging myself into the shower now as although I dont really feel up to it haven't washed in a couple of days and I feel revolting.

Poor DH is cooking all meals, doing all housework and dog walking and despite being a much needed medic is in isolation for 14 days...

I'm either day 3 or 4 - anyone here had a quick recovery?!

shell6266 · 24/03/2020 21:29

@Lifesavesocialdistance mine started with a dry cough last week and now I have lost smell and taste since Saturday. I wonder how long this is going to last. Never had fever but feel kind of achy today And I still have tingling sensation in my nose.

treedragon · 24/03/2020 21:59

Is it worth putting on the posts the rough location to give an idea of where potential cases might be?

stayathomegardener · 24/03/2020 22:03

Quite a few were NW @treedragon on thread 1.
I'm Cheshire.

Cailleach · 24/03/2020 22:07

South Yorkshire

tangledyarn · 24/03/2020 22:10

I'm south Yorkshire as well, but working in the nhs (when I'm well!) I know its absolutely everywhere in the community in huge numbers..mostly mild, asymptomatic and untested, obviously generally higher in high density populations.

tangledyarn · 24/03/2020 22:13

Also helpful to remember that when government/nhs talk about 'mild' in relation to covid19, it just means doesnt need admitting to hospital. So you can still be very unwell.

KayakingOnDown · 24/03/2020 22:24

I'm in NI.

Thank you.

I'm wondering if I shouldn't be flushing out my nose with something!

It's bizarre

Ellapaella · 24/03/2020 23:24

I know two people who have almost certainly got it.
Symptoms are very similar to those reported here.
Fatigue, chest pain, shortness of breath and dizziness. Elevated heart rates. Both say temp has only been mildly raised despite feeling feverish. Cough is not a major symptom for either - it is present but intermittent and comes and goes. The cough is a dry cough.
Symptoms tend to be quite intermittent and come and go in intensity. Both have been unwell for a good 2 weeks with breathing symptoms worsening around day 13.
Both say this is nothing like anything they have ever felt before and both have previously had flu to compare with.

I am a nurse and am aware that it's becoming increasingly recognised in the medical community that a large proportion of those presenting in hospital are presenting with both chest pain and breathlessness.
Chest pain is a very common symptom it would seem despite not being listed on the NHS advice page.

This has been so interesting to read this thread so thank you to the OP for starting it.
I wish you all well and hope you all make a safe recovery soon.

tangledyarn · 25/03/2020 00:01

@ellapaella that's almost exactly my experience, my breathing was really bad between days 12-15 which is when I was 'diagnosed' but not been tested obviously (despite being a hcp) as have narrowly avoided an admission. I've had a cough but it wasnt constant even at my worst. The good news is its now day 18 and although I feel rubbish am definitely a lot better :)

DandyPenguin · 25/03/2020 00:17

@Ellapaella My symptoms are also practically identical to the ones you described.

I think the NHS 11 advice/info has changed. I'm sure beg-middle of last week they were advising everyone that the three symptoms are a fever, persistent cough and shortness of breath. When I first become symptomatic last Wed, I looked at it any to call NHS 111 if you have shortness of breath and chest pain. I was having both so called them, and didn't get through that night but did the next morning and they put me through two stages of triage before a doctor called me back.

But then this week, the only two symptoms the NHS are saying to watch out for are temperature and/or a persistent cough. They're not saying on the main page to call 111 if you have shortness of breath or chest pains anymore.

It's curious, and slightly alarming.

@tangledyarn I'm so glad you're feeling better! Bit concerned from a selfish perspective that your breathing was at its worst between days 12-15.

tangledyarn · 25/03/2020 00:22

@dandypenquin Try not to worry, I know its hard..I do have asthma which may have made things worse, it seems like an illness with a very strange timeline to it, its so bizarre and different to anything else I've ever had. Yeah am still breathless and have a lot of pleurisy pain and feel rubbish but have been out of bed today for a bit and can walk around the house and just feel much less properly sick. I hope you feel much better soon xx

tangledyarn · 25/03/2020 00:27

@dandypenquin I dont think they will put chest pain on there as they dont want potential cardiac patients waiting on the line, it's an ambulance situation..which is going to be a real problem v soon as there are going to be thousands of people unnecessarily having paramedics visit them as the virus spreads.

DandyPenguin · 25/03/2020 00:42

Thanks @tangledyarn I’m not actively panicking or anything, but as you said it’s a weird timeline and very bizarre. Within my 7 days I’ve been up and down and getting some odd symptoms that don’t always last long. I’ve had bronchitis many times in the past and this feels like that sort of chest pain, but in a strange pattern, and without the same hacking cough even though I do have a cough, and with other symptoms like sore ‘prickly’ eyes. I’d thought the sore eyes were hay fever at first but it doesn’t seem to be hay fever as I’m not sneezing.

ShastaBeast · 25/03/2020 00:50

@tangledyarn I’m around day 12 and my asthma is getting bad. Spoke the the GP and am back on the steroid inhaler at a higher dose. The chest pain and tightness is less at least. Still having heartburn and now on prescription strength PPI plus gaviscon. The GP offered antibiotics and oral steroids as they are being super careful, I decided against both for now but have some of the same antibiotics if needed.

Some early symptoms are back like sore throat, headache and slightly stuffy nose. Plus I feel more weak, sore and tired. Went for a walk and tried to jog a bit, not a good idea. The symptoms are intermittent and sometimes I feel fine, it’s very odd.

GPs are clueless as to what symptoms matched due to lack of lack of testing. If we don’t test mild cases we won’t know what the less severe symptoms are. The earlier symptoms are key as that’s when people are more infectious.
