Will our husbands look like bears by the autumn if they can’t get haircuts??

I know this is daft but... What will they be doing if they can’t get haircuts for several months?!

Oh god, I hadn’t thought of this. Does anyone know if you can use dog clippers on a human head?

dementedpixie · 17/03/2020 22:18

I'm ok as I clip DHs hair to a number 1 all over so he will still the presentable

Poppydaisies · 17/03/2020 22:20

Normal scissors?

Craftycorvid · 17/03/2020 22:20

My DH looks like a bear anyway, so no change there Grin

1stMrsF · 17/03/2020 22:22

I judged visiting the barber to be essential contact! But DH did get a very close cut so can edit a while for the next one.

mamaduckbone · 17/03/2020 22:38

Dh clippers his hair and will do the same to the dss if they get too woolly!

ineedaholidaynow · 17/03/2020 22:45

I've warned DS(15) that we will need to cut his hair at some point. It will be a nightmare, I have absolutely no skill with hair. I had forgotten that DH will need a haircut too.

Neverenoughcoffee · 17/03/2020 22:52

Good nooooo. What a depressing thought Shock

Idroppedthescrewinthetuna · 17/03/2020 22:56

Thats fine, I am worried about my eyebrows!
They are dark and really bushy! I have never been able to pluck myself. I go every 3 weeks to get them threaded!
I won't complain about his overgrown hair if he says nothing about my eyebrows Grin

ozzzma · 17/03/2020 23:26

I cut my husband's hair and shave my own head so it's all good!

StuckBetweenDarknessAndLight · 17/03/2020 23:31

I'm already looking slightly feral, having not had a haircut so I could still tie it back while it was windy. I've always wanted long hair, looks like I might get my wish.

theflushedzebra · 17/03/2020 23:33

Mine will Grin

He's been wfh for 2 weeks now - and has just realised a haircut is gong to be tricky.

He's said I'll have to cut it - gladly, but he has no idea what he's letting himself in for!

Yogawoogie · 17/03/2020 23:37

I might have to cut my fringe

ViveLEntenteCordiale · 18/03/2020 02:28

Much more worried about mine! It is already grey and straggly, I was going to call today but then they all closed on Sat... or was it Monday?

My DH will look like w hippy. Unfortunately he needs to get a job so could really do with looking smarter!

NeckPainChairSearch · 18/03/2020 02:33

Nah. I don't care. I'm not crazy about an over-groomed look anyway.

MrsTerryPratchett · 18/03/2020 02:35

Mine has clippers so his hair is fine. He's growing an 'isolation beard' so he looks like a cunt. I'm not kissing him but that's fine coz 'virus' Hmm

KickAssAngel · 18/03/2020 02:49

Jeez - I hadn't thought about eyebrows. They're blonde/grey and unruly. I think DH is about to learn how to dye them.

Topseyt · 18/03/2020 03:04

My DH has his own hair clippers and cuts his own hair every three or four weeks.

To the person who asked, yes. You can use dog clippers on humans. My DH once had to use our spaniel's clippers when his own gave up the ghost mid-cut!! Just put the right length comb fitment on as usual. That was two or three years ago now and the resulting haircut for DH was no different to his usual one.

We didn't tease him about having to use the dog clippers!! Of course we didn't!! Wink

puds11 · 18/03/2020 03:04

I dunno but my eyebrows will be non existent Grin

Greendayz · 18/03/2020 03:16

I can cut my DH's hair myself with clippers. It's not hard, even if you only have scissors. He'll need to do his own eyebrows though!

TreacherousPissFlap · 18/03/2020 05:42

I will look like a yak as my artfully coiffured "tousled look" grows out.
OTOH I am also known for my hats which I will be able to rock in all walks of life (except work) And as a bright side, I've tried to grow part of my hair longer but always become utterly furious with it and demanded my hairdresser cut it off. The matter could well be taken out of my hands Grin

BecauseReasons · 18/03/2020 05:52

I can do my DH's with clippers, like PP. Just stick the appropriate length attachment on and away you go. Nothing fancy mind. I used to do my dad's when I was younger.

leafygarden · 18/03/2020 06:02

Just go for it OP - you'll be reet

And if you're not - it will soon grow back

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 18/03/2020 06:04

My DS's hair grows really fast, he's going to look like Cousin It before long!

CeeceeBloomingdale · 18/03/2020 06:11

No he buzzes his own head weekly
