Will our husbands look like bears by the autumn if they can’t get haircuts??

I know this is daft but... What will they be doing if they can’t get haircuts for several months?!

Could this at least be a breath of hope for hairdressers? When this is over, almost everyone will need to be sheared

Nquartz · 18/03/2020 06:14

My stepdad has it all shaved so he's fine, DH has an appointment on 1 April to get his cut but spoke to the (mobile) hairdresser & she's planning on finishing this week.

I offered to do it for him but he wasn't keen 🤣

Nquartz · 18/03/2020 06:16

In due to get my legs waded next week, I have an epilator & hair removal cream if I decide to do it myself but I'll probs let it grow

Curious78 · 18/03/2020 06:16

Cut each other's hair at home 😏

WinterCat · 18/03/2020 06:18

I’m sure the virus will dip a bit in the summer so hopefully that means restrictions will be lifted then, even if they go back into place in the colder months.

DH had lovely long hair for his late teens/twenties. He had a ribbon for our wedding which was actually really cool! He got a 'sensible' cut when he was about 27 IIRC. I am kinda looking forward to having my Klingon back!

Give it a few weeks and we are about to find out everyone's natural colour!

I clipper husbands hair at home. Mine will just have to wait and so will toddlers.

Pluckedpencil · 18/03/2020 06:45

Hair clippers selling like hot cakes on Amazon Italy. Get one now!

TakeANote · 18/03/2020 07:16

Yikes - DH really needs smart short hair! He’s quite concerned..!!!!! I don’t know if I’d trust myself with clippers...

My husband looks like stig of the dump when his hair grows long. He had a job interview a couple of days ago and as he was leaving for it I thought how unkempt he looks with his hair so long - he has a envious amount of volume in his locks!

Clearly he left it too long between appointments (again!) and is now going to be looking like Stig for the foreseable future 😆

MotherOfAllNameChanges · 18/03/2020 07:33

Scissors?

GeraltOfRivia · 18/03/2020 07:39

I have short hair. Reckon I'll look like one of the Beatles or a Monkee in another few weeks if I can't see my hairdresser. I'll just have to own it Grin

sorethroatnow · 18/03/2020 07:47

I cut DH & DS hair anyway. More worried about my roots 😁

bengalcat · 18/03/2020 07:47

I like bears

ChippyMinton · 18/03/2020 07:48

DH is bald, and I've grown out my greys , so no worries here!
My tip for a tidy up with clippers is leave the top and just do the ends/ sides as a temporary fix.?

Easy to do, I cut my DS hair, always have.

BarkandCheese · 18/03/2020 07:51

Mine has long hair so it’s not going to make much difference to him, he’s going to be one of those old men with a bald head from the front and a pony tail at the back.

MashedSpud · 18/03/2020 07:55

I cut DH’s hair so he’ll be fine.

Yesterdayforgotten · 19/03/2020 12:36

My sister is going for a haircut on saturday. It is a small quiet salon and she is low risk and said she will be careful and wash her hands etc.

ps1991 · 19/03/2020 12:39

i'd love my husband to grow his hair long enough to tie up, but don't want him to have to deal with the bit where he would look untidy before he could tie it back. Maybe this would be a good oportunity to grow it out without anyone seeing Grin
