Hello. Are you in the Ocado virtual queue? What position are you?
Would you like some company?

I went on at 5am today and the wait was only a few minutes but was already approaching 150 at that time. I’ve ordered for MIL as well so my order looks huge. Pre-booked another couple of slots as well

Does anyone know what I do if the substitutions aren’t suitable? If I don’t know what they are until they get here, and even if I do I guess there’s no point trying to phone them, and I can’t give them back to the driver? Am I stuck with them?

They have said you can’t hand back substitutions but you can go online to request a refund for them afterwards if they are unsuitable, you’ll get to keep them for free in that case.

No queue early this morning (OK, 4.30am) - sorry. Slots available this weekend . Toilet roll also available, all brands

@countrygirl99 I will. But it's frustrating as obviously it's money I was going to spend on the party - which I will host at another time. So would have preferred not to spend it now. (and I can't ask friends for money).

Has anyone else found there cutoff time for editing has changed?

I was able to edit an order due at 10-11am this morning up until 5.30pm last night.

@FlyingFlamingo yep, couldn't reject the 4 half size tins of weight watchers brand instead of a six pack of full size Heinz...

I'm sure the kids will stop eat them, problem is, that's now only enough for one meal for 3 of the kids, instead of a meal and a half for all of us 😂

I'm just glad we got our delivery though

I went on early this morning. Queue of 92 and was in within minutes.

Yes, also found cut off time has changed. I wanted to cull it for tomorrow’s delivery, but can’t.

If you have substitutions that you don't want, you can reject them on delivery and hand them back to the driver.

Maybe this has been converted elsewhere but why is there a queue?! It’s online! The whole point is that there’s no queuing.

Re subs - according to the latest Ocado update:

Customers will still be able to return substitutions at the door, and ‘Challenge 25’ checks for age-restricted products will continue as normal.

I've been position 1344 with a 30 minute wait for about 2 hours now. I think the website has locked.

I got in after 10 minutes today. But no chicken at all or loo roll or other stuff for orders on 4th APril ..... that's a long way off.

I've been 4083 since I clicked on, but I'm on an iPad which keeps putting on the security screen (so not fully off IYSWIM) but I wonder if that counts and leaving the page? The total number in the queue is going up but I haven't moved. Irony is I'm not queueing to place an order, just change my password (still) as I didn't manage to yesterday!

Maggie - I'm also on my iPad. But when I started in the queue 2 hours ago my position was refreshing. It's not now so I might give up and start again!

Just looked at the page and it says there are no new delivery slots for a couple of days and only queue if you want to refresh your order.
Right that's it - I'm off to Aldi.....

A website only has the capacity to have so many people on it at any one time. If too many people try to access a website at one time it can’t cope and crashes. Rather like when everyone wants to book Glastonbury tickets or the like. In normal times it’s not really a problem as someone like Ocado know how many people generally try to access the site at any one time and they don’t have huge surges.
However at the moment they are getting 2 or 3 times the normal number of people accessing the site. This means that they have to keep the numbers down. To do that they have to keep people in a holding pattern.

@Frankiethree That's correct, but given it's been like this for days now, I can't see how I'll ever be able to place an order if I don't queue. I'm now in the vulnerable category so anything I can get delivered, even if not for a couple of weeks, will minimise how much I have to go out for. That's my logic anyway!
