We’ve overtaken Norway, Japan and Denmark in the total number of cases, who all shut schools early on. Denmark went into lockdown and have only had 23 cases in the last 24 hours. What is going on?

I find it odd that they are still releasing numbers of infected when no-one is being tested.

As the test does seem to be expensive, it is probably a better use of resources not to test, but there will be a lot less useful information.

I despair I saw a post today from a client who cancelled due to self isolating, sent home from work with temp and cough. Her post read proud of myself took boys to McD's and didn't have anything. I messaged her and said I'm confused I thought you were self isolating. Oh I am but you can't not go out the boys wanted a Micky d's!!!!!

@InfiniteSheldon I suspect that's going to be the way a lot of people 'self isolate'.

It's all very well telling people what to do in order to protect other people from catching an infection they might be carrying but if it inconvenience them they probably won't bother.

In isolation but popped to McD's with the kids. Holy hell people are morons.
I've stuck my poor Dh on lockdown (SAHD) he can come to the shops with me to do essential groceries but cant get out of the car. He's got calcifications in a large part of both lungs, and pneumonia could finish him off. My work is closed to all but essential staff and our patients/residents. I can just go between there and home I'm hoping it'll be OK. Dd will be pulled from school if more cases turn up here, I can't have her killing off her Dad.

My guess is that we've had it longer, probably with more centres of infection and greater inbound new infection, whereas they had fewer early infected, in fewer centres and also tested earlier and tested more.

And now they aren’t recording cases unless severe so will have no idea how quickly it’s spreading
