The only people who seem to be panicking are on here or DF readers

Instead of a Coronavirus Section I think @MNHQ need a 'non Coronavirus' section.

Is this Mumsnet or 2019-nCoVnet?
halfsoaked · 06/03/2020 21:48

The number of threads is ridiculous.

Russellbrandshair · 06/03/2020 21:49

Yeah it’s getting really tedious now. False facts and panic mongering

Sparklingbrook · 06/03/2020 21:49

It seems that every time anyone has a single thought about Coronavirus they have to start a new thread for it. Confused

Batshittery · 06/03/2020 21:51

Agreed. Posters don't even stick to the topic.

Redshoeblueshoe · 06/03/2020 21:53

I still can't manage to hide the bloody topic

trotesio · 06/03/2020 21:54

You wouldn't be able to see anything if you did Grin

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 06/03/2020 21:55

It's always been the same on MN whenever something's a 'hot topic', everyone wants their own thread.

Ridiculous really as if they kept it to one or two, there'd be far more info on all of them.

Sunshinegirl82 · 06/03/2020 21:56

Does anyone know how to hide the entire topic on the app? I've honestly never seen anything like it, it's madness!

ShirleyPhallus · 06/03/2020 21:57

It’s making me want to flounce honestly

It’s the new brexit. Driving me fucking bonkers.

Redshoeblueshoe · 09/03/2020 01:17

Actually the one bonus is that I've not heard the word Brexit for at least 3 weeks !

vodkaredbullgirl · 09/03/2020 01:29

Ive lost count of all the posts.

Redglitter · 09/03/2020 01:38

I've got the entire topic section hidden. It was driving me nuts

Topseyt · 09/03/2020 01:52

I may yet have to hide the entire topic. Ridiculous, and becoming boring.

EmotionalEllie · 09/03/2020 02:02

I was wondering the same.

Some posters sound completely unhinged on those threads. Genuinely wondering how they get through daily life.

DameXanaduBramble · 09/03/2020 02:28

Unhinged is right.

Kinsters · 09/03/2020 02:37

I was thinking the other day I hadn't seen many coronavirus posts, didn't realise it had it's own section 😂

DontCallMeShitley · 09/03/2020 02:41

A sticky would help, so that people would know there is a topic for it, and the rest of us could avoid the millions of threads.

KenAdams · 09/03/2020 07:14

But...you've just started another one 🤦🏻‍♀️

AutumnCrow · 09/03/2020 07:23

Hide the topic / threads, then?

OverByYer · 09/03/2020 07:26

How do you hide a topic? I’m hiding the threads one at a time but like gremlins you get rid of one and another pops up

Tolleshunt · 09/03/2020 07:30

If it’s all scaremongering, why are you so desperate to avoid seeing any threads? It feels to me that those complaining are doing so because the are feeling anxious every time they see one and want to avoid that, as opposed to being bored of them.

Russellbrandshair · 09/03/2020 07:31

Nah it really is just boredom. Any subject that’s repeated over and over and over again gets tedious

Russellbrandshair · 09/03/2020 07:32

I’m getting fed up of reading about it too- mainly because there is a lot of ridiculous statements being made that aren’t actually factual.

PineappleDanish · 09/03/2020 07:32

I'm desperate to avoid the threads as they are having a very negative effect on my mental health.

I am not a worrier or panicker by nature but this total, all out apocalypse scenario which so many of the posters are promoting is not healthy. They are all egging each other on, obsessing about figures and hyping it all up.
