Conflict in the Middle East

Netanyahu must win today. Israel can’t afford a weak leader right now.

It’s crazy how much pure hatred gets thrown at Netanyahu from every direction, more than any other current leader even Putin, but the idea that Israel must get rid of him to rebuild its standing in the international community is absurd IMO.

You can't run a country surrounded by hostile Arab states, who hope for your annihilation, by trying to be politically correct or try to please Western governments (to appease their own electorates) who have no idea what Israel has to deal with. They only understand strength, not weakness.

Say what you want about his politics but the guy has serious balls and does not back down.

No other leader in Israel, or any other world leader for that matter, has his level of experience when it comes to dealing with terrorism and national security. He’s been managing these existential threats for decades while other politicians just talk.

If you actually research the corruption charges it's obvious they are a politically motivated stitch-up by a left wing establishment that invented a bizarre legal theory about "media coverage" just to oust a leader they couldn't beat in elections.

It's exactly why he needs to stay in power and finish the job. He is the only one who refuses to fall for the fantasy of a 2 state solution, which is completely dead in the water after Oct 7th. Any backing down to the Palestinians now would be absolute suicide.

He literally built Israel's massive tech economy and proved with the Abraham Accords that strength gets results.

My genuine worry if he loses today is that whoever takes over will be way too soft and cave to international pressure on a Palestinian State and on Iran.

If Israel softens its stance, the pressure on Iran and Hamas drops completely and it leaves ordinary Iranian and Gazan people trapped with zero hope.

In a brutal neighborhood you need a strong, tested leader.

As Golda Meir said - "If we have to have a choice between being dead and pitied, and being alive with a bad image, we’d rather be alive and have the bad image."

I don’t understand why MNHQ allow such nonsense these days. This place gets more ridiculous by the day.

I have contacted MN about this thread.

Are you drunk?

"Bibi" could have stood aside temporarily and let someone who was not under investigation for corruption lead Likud in these national elections. I'm not going to hold Israel to a different standard from the rest of the world - 15 years ago this would not even have been a question, but mid-Trump and post-Arlene Foster, it unfortunately is. Regardless, Israel will survive - and you're not helping.

Oh dear. From Reuters:

While there was no clear outcome, the strength of the anti-Netanyahu opposition was evident in the exit polls.

What a crying shame.

A lot of your posts have no place on here.

Wat does that mean exactly?

What 'place' is here?

So an opinion that doesn't align with yours isn't allowed?

I have contacted MN about this thread.

Why is that?

I think this just shows the ridiculous hysteria over a democratic leader driven by terrorist propaganda.

Absolutely insane.

Looks like he's won btw.

Thank god.

Oh wow.

Any other leader you have that feeling for, or just the Jewish one?

Sick.

I don’t think people are exactly far from thinking that of Trump and Putin! No one is making a particular victim out of Bibi. He can take responsibility for how many people have come to view him. I saw on the news that people have flown over in their thousands to vote. Some obviously to vote him out.

Please don't t use extremist misogynist language on here. Regardless of who wins an election - and it's not at all decided, on this one - women are human, and worth just as much as men.

Because a lot of your post content is quite disturbing, and the only one peddling any kind of propaganda is you.

What on earth has this got to do with misogyny or whether women are human?

Absolutely batshit 😂

Please explain what is disturbing in my posts?

My description of Bibi and why Israel needs him is pretty factual.

What part of it is propaganda?

Is it because I think he's a great leader and YOU believe the propaganda that he's a 'baby killing, sniping, genocidal monster'?

Insane.
