Been heart broken over what’s been happening for over two years now, flabbergasted by how many are happy to turn a blind eye and play the ‘But what about HAMAS’ card.

The irony of accusatory blind eyes Confused

No answer to the question so.. fair enough. If you can't answer it's grand it's a hard one.

Edited

What was the question? Do I think the Israelis have gone too far?

TakeMe2Insanity · 20/09/2025 22:25

Didntask · 20/09/2025 22:08

But we are because if the killing of babies and raping of women hadn't happened on oct 7th, we wouldn't be discussing this now. How can you be so brazenly obtuse about it?

Let’s take a time machine back to the Balfour agreement then. If the first nakba hadn’t happened then we wouldn’t be here now. Problem solved.

Yes

Here we go.

It’s not about the hostages- Israel doesn’t really want them back. Netanyahu doesn’t give a shit about the hostages.

November 2023 Hamas agreed to a ceasefire and released over 100 hostages and were planning to release more but then Israel broke the ceasefire bombing again.

February of 2024, where Hamas agreed to release the hostages in phases but then Israel rejected this because they then called for a permanent ceasefire.

Then on April 2024, Hamas agreed to another deal that was just like Israel’s but Israel rejected and US officials even reported that they were intentionally stalling.

Israel finally accepted a deal in January 2025 which did call of all the hostages but then Israel launched surprise attacks and broke their own deal.

So it looks like to me, that even though Israel says it’s about the hostages thats not what this is about. To justify genocide and stay in power. Even the families themselves say that Israel is just using the hostages as a political tool to extend the war. Whether or not that means the rest of the hostages die.

As long as the hostages exist inside Gaza, Israel can justify even more violence and destruxtion. They’re actually incentivised not to bring their hostages back because then Netanyahu would lose power. Release the hostages is not a good faith argument, it’s a classic Israeli talking point to shift the blame to Palestinians and ignore the fact that Israel has had plenty of chances to get their hostages back without committing genocide.

“November 2023 Hamas agreed to a ceasefire and released over 100 hostages and were planning to release more but then Israel broke the ceasefire bombing again.”

More Gazan prisoners were released by Israel than Israeli hostages as part of that exchange, and Hamas broke the ceasefire, and Hamas also refused to allow the Red Cross to attend to the remaining hostages.

So Oct 7th was in response to the Nakba? Seriously?

Israel have repeatedly also refused to let the red cross see any of the Palestinian prisoners held in Israel too, so it’s a bit of a tit for tat point really.

Excellent. Now, what do you think HAMAS could do to help stop the conflict?

Disarm and disband will hopefully stop the conflict.

Won't stop the big plan going ahead though. (Ethnic cleansing/Gaza Riviera etc)

Clutching your pearls is what people do when someone makes a minor social faux pas
Using the term to discuss both Oct 7 and the Israeli response suggest you are looking at this through a strange lens

That’s quite an airy response to make about a nihilistic terrorist entity! What do you think the chances are that they will do so? If two years of war, with catastrophic consequences for the people and infrastructure of Gaza, long negotiations, the death of many of their leaders, plus a body blow to their Hezbollah pals, hasn’t achieved it? And apologies to those who find it boring when posters mention Hamas having a role in the suffering in this war, but why do you think they did start this war, which was sure to result in such appalling consequences for civilians in Gaza? What do you think they hoped to achieve?

I think you'll find if you read the thread of questions my response was to the question what could Hamas do?

Should they do it? Absolutely
Chances of them doing it are probably not very high when they are negotiating with someone who changes the goalposts constantly, murders people who are discussing the negotiations, sabotages deals and breaks ceasefires in a violent bloody way.

But as I said all quite irrelevant because the bigger plan is out there of real estate deals, What do you think about that?

SisterTeatime · 21/09/2025 14:57

I have read the questions and I was surprised by your airy reponse.

What do I think about real estate deals? I’m not sure I understand exactly what you’re asking, can you be more specific please?

We've all seen the videos and pictures of children in Gaza with automatic weapons. How many of these 'victims' were shooting at Israeli soldiers?

Why would they? Do the Red Cross routinely check on prisoners? How much involvement does the Red Cross have in British or French prisons, for example?

The two year olds? The three year olds? What age children are you talking about

Have we?

I have seen a video of a child using a piece of piping as a prosthetic leg but none with children and automatic weapons.

Tends to be stones children are locked up for attacking IDF soldiers with.

What age children is that report talking about? Does it differentiate between children and child soldiers?

Yes the Red Cross should definitely have access when there are multiple reports of torture and regular detention without trial
